The urd spec u full exhaust (including y pipe) will not throw a CEL. That combined with the urd power extractors should make for a kick ass combination with the tune. And even if a CEL is thrown I remember @OVTune saying they can cancel the light I believe.

 

My understanding is Spec U no CEL, extractors = CEL. Guy on here has Spec U installed no CEL.

 

While your on that subject what muffler did you go with that Spec U kit if I may ask?

 

URD's facebook page has some comments about the Spec U. They specifically said the extractors do throw a CEL

 

Comes with their muffler (they do not say the brand). There is a video with sound at the link I posted. Sounds better than anything I have heard so far on the 3.5. I will be doing a dump though not out the side.

 

delete the front cats and you are going to get CEL unless OVTune can keep that from happening.

 

+1 on this. How does the shiftsense Pro interact with the tune?

 

It should do its shifting for you in S mode just like it does now, but the shift point may not be where they should be because of the new tune.

 

I cancelled my shiftsense when @OVTune came out . I'd rather a flash tune on my ECU than the shiftsense

 

Hopefully you won't need the shift sense with the new tune?

 

I'll probably sell my shiftsense if the tune handles shifts and what not better on hills and such.

 

It never made $$ sense to me. I can shift in S mode myself and don't have an issue with the 6 speed anyway. Not my first 6 speed and my girlfriends Canyon does the same type of hunting if you are trying to maintain an exact speed.

 

The shiftsense is a piggy back that takes the "thinking" out of the truck when in sport mode and does the shifting for you. The OV tune will make the truck shift correctly when in drive AND allow you to throw it to "manual" and do the shifting yourself. With the shiftsense, you lose the ability to shift it on your own.

 

Too bad my trucks not closer to you OV... It's a 16 MT TRDOR.... I'm in Afganistan and have no use for it I'd give you guys the keys for long term testing lol... It's near San Francisco currently...

 

Do you think the shift sense would get improved gas mileage or is it just a bust now that everything is remapped?

If you're debating on getting the tune or the shift sense, give it about 2-3 weeks. Plenty have ordered the tune already (including myself) and you're going to want to hear reviews from us.

I'm going to say that the ECU tune is better, since it'll still give you the manual shifting functions.

 

It looks at OBD data and ties into the gear selector to select the appropriate gear for the truck speed / RPM. Basically, you put the gear shifter to "S" and then the shiftsense takes over.

Your tune seems to take care of the shifting while in drive
