I think it’d be a lot simpler if they were designated between manual and auto and then incremented accordingly

    M1.01
    A1.01

They are developed somewhat in parallel but having multiples with letters at the end seems to cause mass chaos especially if you don’t read every post

Eh I think numerical versions and such is less important than just a basic release notes describing what's been changed over the previous version and stock, showing dyno graphs of the new improvements, and existing bugs/issues for the future.

Yes, forged internals. Mat mentioned the same in his blog post, which I had bookmarked but it seems it has been taken down from his site or moved somewhere. Wonder if he got hell from Toyota or anything for his assessment of their calibrations :)

you think you could do something with that kind of power? i like the idea but i'm having trouble with low speed traction already from this tune. a few months ago i decided that i wouldn't go FI with this truck unless i could also replace the rear locker with a proper Posi. those aren't yet available for the 8.75" rear. they may not be available for some years yet, actually. anyway i said something about removing the rear locker so :crapstorm:

I really miss having the mechanical LSD that I had in my 2005. Auto LSD just isn’t the same.

Did some more digging, it seems only the crank shaft and connecting rods are forged, if we wanted some seriose boost we need forged pistons & valves

I'm at the Toyota service center. I guess I'll see if they notice I'm running 1.02

I think that a lot of people will need to decide what they want from their truck if they purchase the OV TT setup once it's available, since the talk has turned to forged internals, and how much boost they're looking for lol I think of it as basically a Toyota version of the Ford 3.5L ecoboost, and the 28 series garretts that Mat will be using are an excellent choice. Even if he keeps them down at only 6-10psi, I bet that'd be much more than enough for most taco owners

No problems - I've had mine in 3 times now for "free" service just to keep records up-to-date and none the wiser. I'd just love that discussion though - man! your truck drives so smooth compared to the ones we have on the lot?! what did you DO!?

    ain't happening...

All OVTs posts would fit on ~50 pages. This thread... 556 pages. WOW!

@OVTune will the announcement of the 1.03 AT release come via this thread, the AT thread, or email? Thanks.

Remember, if they ask you anything, say you disconnected your battery recently. That’s the only thing that would “flag” something happened to the ECU.

How will the transmission in this truck hold up when adding more hp & tq?

With Mats calibration kit? It may just explode. Hes unlocked one to many ponies in this atkinson bad boy.
On a Serious note, he said hes tweaking the transmission to deal with this extra hp
