Is there a tune for those of us who are not trying to achieve 30 MPG and only run 91, something more aggressive?

    Ok. GPS comparison (w/o OVT)
Routine trip. Best average to date and best time with zero traffic (stopped time was pumping gas at beginning of trip). 192.1/197.6=0.972 => 18.3/.972=18.8 mpg.

What cars are you tuning at Time Attack? Do you use standalones or your re-flash method as used here?

So two separate files then, one for the ECU and one for the TCU? I know this was originally available early on but I signed up after it went to one file.

    Fricken sweet.

Be careful this time around when going to HK. Airplanes are a cesspool for the flu.

GearOne Tuning or something like that. There was a post in the 3GT facebook group with a Tacoma World link. Long story short, there's a shop in Philly I think it is that tuned a tacoma but it's not a remote tuning process. So you need to physically go there. And at best I think it's just a tune for more power, rather than the myriad of things Mat has done for us.

On top of that, they came out of nowhere and are hard to track down . No substantial internet footprint I believe was said

Sorry Mat, so new to this stuff, I get the ECU option via flash manager (I think), will you have instructions for the TCU flash also?. thanks!

This is so exciting to see listed out - and will look forward to more thorough explanations of how you managed to configure torque management by temp after things are released!

I wouldn't worry too much about the "other guys" trying to compete - hopefully that's what they are trying to do - simply compete with a comparable product that is their IP - if not, experience tells me karma is listening and loves to make examples of folks like that...

@OVTune - Since I'm not one who believes this engine lacks the ability to make enough power even stock, this interests me greatly but I'm hoping you can clarify something. Logically it seems to me that the interplay between atkinson/otto cycle at low RPM is at least partially responsible for the tranny dance whilst trying to maintain highway speeds (especially using cruise control). This combined with the VERY poor throttle response and poor MPG are my 3 gripes with this truck. 1.02x pretty much solved my throttle response concerns, but the poor MPG and tranny dance still remain for me. Will the optional map above and the transmission changes you've made allow better MPG AND still do away with (or at least GREATLY mitigate) the tranny dance @ hwy cruising speeds?

Matt, will the 1.03 tune released on Friday account for modifications such as the Spec-U exhaust (which I have), or will I have to wait another month for custom tunes when you get back?

It's literally the exact same process. You just have to select P5 Gearbox from the drop menu and load his tcu tune into that. Read the instruction manual on the website.....

You would need to wait I believe. At any rate, 1.03 will be more than enough of a change that I doubt you will care lol
