    I cannot freaking wait! Have about a 500 mile trip this Sat/Sun, so hopefully we can get the reg process/upload process finished in time for (or shortly after) the release. (@OVTune ping re: my dongle serial/answer file)

    Explain full lock. Like a manual and only shifts up/down when you shift? Or does it still operate like stock but at different settings?

    Others can give you a far more scientific example than I, but generally speaking... Your torque converter is just a mechanical and fluid coupling from the engine to your transmission. When unlocked or half-lock you are losing some of the power from the engine due to different rotational speeds but positively impacts efficiency since you aren't always pulling as much from the engine when it's not locked, at full lock the TC is physically "locked" and thus you experience less power loss from the engine to transmission. If you've ever had that feeling of giving your truck gas, seeing the RPMs spike but wondering where the acceleration is, then it suddenly comes on - often with a jerky feeling, that's your TC locking - but on stock its timed really poorly.

    Most vehicles you don't even notice this because there is a much smoother transition from OFF to half-lock (where it can slip a bit to give you a softer transition/shift response) to full lock. In our trucks stock you generally just feel it in OFF / ON terms and until recently even OV wasn't sure we could manipulate to achieve a half-lock result - but low and behold he found it and has apparently implemented this into the "D" mode of the forthcoming release.

    Thus with what OV is proposing for his S-mode full lock would essentially be a "fun mode" where you could eek all usable power out of that engine, which would come at a hit to MPGs given the power demands you'd be putting on the engine instead of allowing it to slip / unlock... all of which I have no doubt would still be within safe means for the engine given his temperature-based torque management.

    Thanks @bshammer0 for making me feel old. LOL. As soon as B&M came out with their shift kits & stall speed converters, I spent my hard earned $2.35 an hour wage to buy, damn good investment. It was an entry level job, worked my way up & thru.... and waalaa, buying @OVTune's excellent work. Focus on the end game young Luke, be not distracted.
