In my defense, I was drunk off my ass (so not sure why I cared so much as I couldn't drive) and he had said Sunday before so it's kinda up for grabs.

Are you running the 87 tune or the 91? I have the same truck as you, except a 2017. I don't notice that it's hold 1st too long or any jerky feeling. I'm running the 91 tune.

    91.

Numerous people felt A's 1st was too long and harsh on the change. I love C, 1st to 2nd is smooth.

Nah, I'm confident this one will be either perfect or so damn near it you couldn't fit a c-hair between the tune and perfect.

Why do I think that? Is it because I believe in Mat's brilliance? While he may in fact be brilliant his abilities have nothing to do with my belief.

Ya see, I was so %$#^ing fed-up with this truck, even the MUCH improved OVTune 1.02C, that I went out and found a low-mileage 1 family owned well cared for 3rd Gen 4runner (Limited, rear-locker and 120K miles in 22 years) that was under-priced for what it is. It's the proverbial grandpa truck...the Holy Grail of used vehicle categories. When I first started driving it, it felt so crude compared to the Tacoma comfort wise (functional performance wise it is awesome, even if it is slower than Corky). But the more I drive it, it just feels right. I was mentally divorcing myself from the Tacoma. I haven't driven it in over a week. And I stopped missing the comfort pretty quickly. I started making my list of maintenance items and modern updates and putting it all in spreadsheets to track cost and I was all ready to start ordering parts. I started mentally spending some of the Tacoma sales proceeds on some house projects I want to do.

Then the reports of testing of 1.03 came in....:frusty:

Then I thought I'll keep the 4runner and Tacoma and just wait for my daughter who will be driving in a few years and give it to her....but damn, I REALLY like driving it.

So, given my recent mental gymnastics on the Tacoma, it is only fitting that 1.03 will be perfect. I'm a "Murphy" so, being our law and all, it really can be no other way.

This should be resolved in 1.03. I provided similar feedback around the 1-2nd shift behavior on the early 1.03 test file I’m still running and Mat confirmed he knew what caused it so I’m guessing it will be addressed in the tune and may even be a reason he had to adjust pressures in the TCU file which had never been manipulated in prior tunes

i dont even have ovtune yet but im watching this thread like a hawk ..
looking forward to hear everyones opinions on the new tune once it drops

I only have 1400 miles on my truck and I figured I would wait a little while longer before ordering..if there is overwhelming positive feedback on this release I am most definitely going to place my order. hopefully i get it in before the shipping cutoff

Allright, after lingering here since the beginning I hopped in and preordered! I'm getting my BootCamp on and have a question for you BootCampers. How much drive capacity did you allocate for BootCamp and how much capacity do you have free after the full Windows 10 install? So for example, did you allocate 200GB and have 100GB available on that partition after the Win10 install?

Good things come to those who wait.

A lot already have a version of the tune that still way better than the $h!++¥ stock tune I’m still running. My kit is on track to arrive today.
Mat has done a great job so far. Now it’s just some small tweaking to make the masses happy. With the list he sent out yesterday, it’s like he’s completely overhauled the truck. Hell yes I want it but I don’t mind waiting until the masterpiece is complete. Taco Power!

Are you running with ECT mode on or off? My truck has a longer run between 1st & 2nd with ECT on but not so much with it off.

think it kind of depends on what you're going to use the Win10 for... only for this? or more? also depends on how much you need on your Mac side... I haven't' done it yet(did it years ago but had to replace the HD) but will soon, and I'll put near the minimum for windows as I don't really require windows for anything (this is the first thing in 4 years I'll need it).

ECT annoys me in traffic unless I'm towing, it's off 99% of the time.

I can manage the Mac side and want to put a few other programs on the Windows side so I'm curious to hear how much space Windows10 uses.
