Win10 alone requires about 10gb to run decently. I have mine set to 15gb but I literally ONLY use my virtual box (not using bootcamp personally) for loading tunes. I even keep it generally off the internet once i have my files so windows doesn't start trying to do updates in the background.

    In progress.... And getting better!
Seems there are variants as to how these trucks react to the tune. With mine, ECT mode did absolutely nothing to the performance prior to the tune, but afterwards it’s a totally different animal. I hope that 1.03 fixes everything! Go Cupid!

That's good to know! So that was free, easy to setup and works really well for you? Would you recommend it over BootCamp?

ECT simply gives a touchier throttle response and pre-set shift points, it just feels quicker due to less throttle input needed

Yes, free. Not terribly difficult to setup though you may have to tinker with the USB settings on the box initially. BootCamp is probably a more stable solution, but VirtualBox running Windows Insider Edition has worked just fine for my needs. And it required less space on my 256gb SSD on my macbook pro.. :)

I've been following the developments for a while now. Just placed a pre-order, I can't wait for it to get here.

I plan to add the URD spec u exhaust with this as well in March, do I need to worry about tuning in the exhaust immediately or can I run it for a while before sending data back for tweaks?

So the primary benefit of virtualbox (Oracle I'm assuming?) is less space required on the drive? I need to do one or the other, and will rarely use Win for anything else. Does virtualbox require an on-drive install of windows, or are you installing to some cloud space that virtualbox mirrors to your local mac?

Don't forget that running the insider version to pick the pro version and not the basic "S" version as it won't allow other apps that aren't from the Microsoft store.

I allocated 50 gb. There was like 20 free. You can always adjust the partition sizes after the fact. I only have windows and the tuning software, im not using boot camp for anything else.

I’m on 245 Dunlop’s and I love the 1st gear shift, I can hold first through right hand corners. It’s very drivable.

Just getting defensive. GearOne clearly isn't a tuning shop and they rely on their 3rd party - one of the things I've always appreciated about OV - we are working directly with the developer without being filtered through folks who don't understand the nuances of the product. That said maybe "pearsontuned" and "ovtuned" go way back and could actually help each other - the best way to kill competition is to turn it into a mutually beneficial partnership ;)
