Curious to hear what you think of the 87 tune since we've both been
running premium since before the tune.

Yep that must be what it is for me too. I just looked, I have 265/75/R16 LoadRange=E KO2 tires. What did Matt do his tests with? I'm guessing maybe something similar to what I have. I think these are like 31.6" tires.

Plug the dongle and cable in and see if Windows recognizes that they have been plugged in.
Difficult one to troubleshoot without being in front of it, mine just worked when following the guides.

Maybe try uninstalling everything from Device Manager and reinstalling

Yeah, it recognizes them and I've done the delete/re-install a few times now. I'm now waiting for Mat to get back to me.

I know he says it's pre-registered but have you tried the GrdTru.exe to see if that activates it?

Yes, I ran it and it generated a code which I sent to Mat. He replied today that it is preactivated and to run PCMflash to send them the serial number. Here are some pics.

Man, tell me about it. I ordered my kit in November then figured I'd wait for 1.03. I was patting myself on the back for being patient, and then it dropped. My hair immediately caught on fire.

I have an automatic, stock 16inch rims and tires. I also think the throttle mapping is too sensitive, especially the initial throttle tip in from a dead stop.

In Hondata (Honda tuning software), there is a throttle tip in feature, which controls how much fuel is added when you initially depress the throttle. I wonder if there is a "tip in" adjustment @OVTune can modify?

From a stop, I let off the brake, give it very light throttle, truck will jerk forward slightly (rough "tip in"), then accelerate. This was mentioned by @bshammer0 in earlier posts, parking in the garage. Other members described it as a digital throttle.

Maybe Mat tuned the throttle tip in based on larger / heavier Pro Comp tires, hence people with heavier tires / armor like the throttle mapping. My Pro is completely stock, and like many others think the throttle is too sensitive, particularly that initial press of the throttle.

I have a pro with stock rims/tires but I don't find the throttle too sensitive. I actually like having ECT mode most the time. Just my preference though.

Same for me. I'm on stock wheels and tires and the first couple of times I drove the throttle definitely felt a bit touchy. It feels smoother now that I've put about 150 miles on it, but that may be me adjusting to the "tip in" more than anything.

Good context and feedback. I think the tip in is what we're looking for in this case then. I don't really want the throttle messed with a lot past that initial 2-3% of travel as in overall driving it is so awesome to feel the responsiveness but alas there are times when you just need to slowly tap the throttle for a slow movement.
