Want to know what's really neat about 1.03? Drive along anywhere from 35-50 mph, just cruising, and then floor it. It downshifts straight from 5th gear into 3rd gear INSTANTLY. I was very surprised and impressed about that when screwing around last night.

Still not sure I like the fact that it shifts all the way up into 5th gear at 35mph though. I don't mind using S4, but have only used D so far.

I am a fan of 5th at 35. My commute to work is 40mph for 12 miles.

He’s on west coast time. Unfortunately, I’m on the east coast - hoping I wake up to the key so I can load before the commute.

I emailed him the serial # on the side of the dongle. I'm just standing by for his reply.

Mpg between 35 and 50 seems to be the bomb.

At 65 I get great mileage: 17mpg normally, 19mpg if I drive economically. But usually I cruise at 80. At that speed last summer I typically got 15mpg. Add on a roof rack and winterized gas and I'm currently getting about 13.

70mph seems to be where air resistance really goes up and mpg starts to drop quickly.

What’s the typical wait time between email of dongle serial and reply with license key?

I’m sure there is a reason behind his decision to wait for us to email him with the serial number, but the dongle license key could be sent via email before the package ships if OVT pulled the serials before shipping.

My wait was just a day or so. Ive got the impression he looks at emails in the morning or evening and is pretty on top of sending out the license keys. He obviously is very busy, at least lately with 1.03 pushing out. Sounds pretty dedicated. I guess as they say do for work what you love and it isnt work :)

Pretty quiet here. Loaded 1.03, 87 octane, will post my results on @bshammer0 thread after I get a few miles on it.

iv'e been running the latest and greatest update on 87. Been really enjoying the shifting and extra power. Driving around town i was getting on it , the truck downshifts to 3rd and scoots like crazy . Stays in 3rd or 4th in town if light on the throttle .Before the update I have to drive a pretty good stretch of hill for work and the truck would downshift to 4th at the bottom and stay there at 55mph to the top. Now the truck will downshift to 5th about 1/2 way up and then to 4th. I can easily get up to 70 mph easily if I wanted to . Unbelievable to me what the tune has done to my truck . Today i need to fill up and will be testing out the 91 tune . Pretty cool being able to take off and stay up with other cars now and not be embarrassed .
