Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

^^^^^^^^^^^^This. Stock wheels/tires/everything, plus temps below freezing, frosty/snowy/icy roads, and zero issues with throttle. In the winter here, you learn to be gentle on the throttle when first accelerating from a stop. You have to change how you drive. The same goes for 1.03. Just think if everyone took off from a stop here in the winter just like in the summer, nobody would go anywhere, just sit and spin. Learn and adapt, its simple.

 

Something transmission related? Nobody makes anything to modify the trans............yet.

Sextet turbos... one for each cylinder. Yeah that would make atkinson cycle better

 

I had a 2nd gen Tacoma and I also drive a 17 4runner from time to time.

It’s going to be his intake or exhaust probably.

 

There is already a smooth intake tube on the market(keeps OEM air box) and I'm not really big on exhaust. I hate drone, been there done that. Unless the gain is substantial....

 

Intake manifold? Or like a custom cai? I must have missed this part of the thread

 

He’s already stated he’s working on both exhaust and intake.

The intake would be just a tube.

Exhaust would probably be just as obnoxious as my URD spec-u system is.

 

Do you still have it installed?
HPS makes a pretty nice silicone tube

 

I have TRD intake and URD exhaust. is the HPS system loud?

 

No clue. I wouldn't think so, it just replaces the accordian intake pipe between the air box and TB. Really tempted to try it

 

I can assure you, on stock tires, it simply isn't possible (on the 91 tune) to pull away without an initial jolt. I've certainly tried.

 

I'm in the process of buying another set of TRD wheels + OEM sized tires or finding a truck to do some test and logging on.
