Same for me. I notice it most during rush hour where my speed fluctuates between 5 and 15 mph. If I come to a complete stop, I can ease into it without it being too bad. But if I'm slowing down and then get back on the gas, it can become annoying.

I don't know if that's the throttle or a combination of throttle and quick down shift though. That said, this tune is a HUGE improvement over stock and I'm hopeful a future tweak will make it perfect.

Us MT folk asked Mat to provide a "toned down" map in respect to the initial throttle responsiveness, and he willingly provided one. I'm sure he could do the same for AT

IF there is an updated 1.03 AT that modifies the initial throttle tip in, there HAS to be an option to NOT use it. Many of us can drive perfectly fine with 1.03 how it is, and when bigger tires go on, we don't want sluggish acceleration to come back off the bottom the RPM range.

I initially had no issue w/ throttle response on AT, but I think due to more spirited driving while greatly enjoying the new tune. After driving a bit more, for casual daily drive I do notice slight initial throttle aggressiveness - 'slight' toned down throttle wouldn't be bad.

If we're talking minor tweeks, my list...
    - 'slightly' toned down initial throttle,
    - 'slightly' firmed up shifts (1-2 mainly),
    - D to S mode default to 5th rather than 4th.

It was the same at with those of us running MT. We all loved it but to be fair, we were hyped up and mashing the pedal anyhow. Once we settled down, the need to dial back the throttle sensitivity became apparent. Otherwise we were having to slip the clutch quite a bit to avoid looking like we were racing every soccer mom we encountered lol

How would there not be an option to not use it? Him releasing a new map won't magically rewrite your ECU lol

It would be cool if future updates come with versions for more and less aggressive throttle and folks could flash either one based on personal preference. *fingers crossed*

Yeah, I first noticed it when I had a sleeping kiddo in the back and I was trying to be smooth in stop and go traffic. It's fine when it's just me having fun, but not so much with sleepy kids or heavy traffic coming in to work.

I never had to slip the clutch, I just had to carefully apply the throttle. The new 1.03C version so far is great.

He posted earlier that he was getting a set of stock wheels and tires. I suspect we'll see a revised OPTIONAL tune for folks with stock wheel tires in the near future.

Maybe, but I don't think he's going to want to develop multiple versions of tunes based on people's personal preferences and rig setups.

Unless... maybe he could really start bringing in the cash by announcing an ICO for OVTune Coin... a new blockchain technology for Tacoma tunes. Then he would have unlimited investor money to make as many forks as he wanted. Everybody wins and we all become millionaires.

I've put about 100 miles on the truck since flashing last night (even though I hit the struggle bus) and I have to say I'm honestly impressed. I am mostly stock (have Kayak Racks) and see a ~2ish improvement in MPG but I don't have ANY issues with the throttle. In fact, I'd say I'm underwhelmed considering how some of you are freaking out (I am on 87 though).

He's not going to screw over guys with oversized tires - he gets the need to have some modifications based on your rig setup. I'm with folks on the tip-in and it's pretty noticeable if I'm driving in my neighborhood slowly up the hills in our hood (where I can't just coast and need a small amount of throttle to hold 15-20mph). Love the way the truck drives and this is a minor and very addressable customization for smaller tires / wheels that simply takes less throttle
