I was trying to download version 1.1.93 through Flash Manager by following the new instructions that are in the original post. Going to ovtuned.com just now and using the old instructions there did work, but that version of pcmflash is 1.1.83. Not sure if that matters. Won't be running any of these files until my kit shows up anyway, so hopefully @OVTune will have time to weigh in on whether that minor revision number matters for these new kits.

Older version worked fine for me.

I've only run the 87 tune and have no complaints. Its a noticeable improvement over stock and power delivery is much improved over stock. Wind it up and it returns the favor. It'll rip if you let it.

    Here, here!

Amen, brother! Guess I'm just going to add my name to the many that are praising this upgrade, but I wanted to pass along my sincere gratitude to Mat for all the work on this. I've not been around until 1.03 so I do not have as much history, but this mod makes my truck be the truck I expected when I bought it.

I'm grateful for what he's done for us and hope all the frustrated folks realize that he's working overtime on fixing a problem that Toyota punted on.

    Cheers, Mat!

The first page of the instructions contains a link that works for those of us that receive this error.

I can't even imagine going from stock to 1.03 lol. It has to be literally night and day. I've seen a few iterations of the tune, and they just kept getting better.

    Enjoy :)

Ha - just like my failed intents to flash to an 87 tune to try it out... I also tell myself that SOME day I'll flash back to stock since I haven't run stock for many moons at this point just to remind myself how good we have it now. Quirky surges that happen occasionally aside I drove in heavy stop-go traffic to work this morning, music blaring, in "D" with not a thought to how the transmission was behaving nor ever a doubt I could put my truck where I wanted to be at a second's notice. That's success in my book

You ain't just a whistlin' Dixie! This was a monumental difference in the performance of this truck. Like I said, I was actually "just happy enough" that I would deal w/ it, but now it's fun and I am enjoying driving it. I can actually pull up a slight hill in 6th on the interstate without it downshifting twice. It's a different truck now.

Feeling the truck stay in hear on the regular hills i have been driving for the year+ ive owned this truck makes me smile! Im seeing MPG's in the 16-17's as well which is fantastic for the amount of added weight i have in armor and stuff.

Yeah, that is what I wanted. Just to drive and not worry about the trans. I found myself, pre-tune, wondering why the heck am I in 4th?! Etc.
Never did that in any other previous vehicle.
    Thanks OVT!

What calibration is your truck running? Wonder if the difference between those with and without surging is based on calibration? I could be wrong. Just spitballing.

I’ve ran every one that’s came out. I’ve been thinking about going back to stock to remind me of how horrible it is.

Not too many miles maybe a little over a 150 but now I'm getting to understand a lot of the difference between this and 1.02...
    Really just loving this version...!!

Curious whether the datalogger will still be in the pipeline anytime soon? Only ask bc it feels like this could help you fine tune any remaining little wrinkles some folks are experiencing? I know you woke up today with NOTHING to do... but I know this was in the works back in the fall

another 200 mile trip logged. Ran 75-80 mph the whole way this time whereas last time I stayed under 70mph. 15.8mpg this goaround, last time 19ish.
I can’t believe the difference 5-10 mph can make.

Happy to report only a few unplanned downshifts to 4th gear. Everyone knows that a stock ATs favorite gear is 4th. Now 5th is my truck’s favorite and it pulls like it did in 4th and even pulls in 6th without the need to downshift.

I’m running the 87 tune. 91 test run next weekend.
