Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

After market exhaust question:
For those running the tune with an after market exhaust, (1) any issues that you think are exhaust related and may request a specific tune, (2) did it change the lower rpm tone and if so, does it sound better?

 

Yep - prior to flashing the software corrects the checksum

1) no. He hasn’t come out with specific tunes for the exhaust.

2) yes. It drones pretty bad around 1500-1650.

The drone was there stock.

 

Stand in front of truck. Check for bystanders. Pull out your dongle and do the shimmy.

I've asked this a few times on the forum and once or twice in direct email. I'd really like to know if I should sign off this thread for a few weeks, or if my trolling daily (nay, hourly) will pay off and I'll see a notice of posting for the 'A' versions of the ECU tune that the '18s have.

Either is okay with me (troll or wait). I'd just like to know which to do.

Same. I'm not trying to nag. I just want to know if I risk screwing something up by ASSUMING that it's included in 1.03. The flash manager labels it as 2016+. 2018 is after 2016, so...

A simple yes or no would be nice. I couldn't care less if it's no; take all the time in the world you need to get it right. You'll never hear me complain about it being delayed. Half, or more, of my full time job involves me waiting. Im good at it. It doesn’t bother me in the slightest.

 

I’m pretty sure the ‘18s aren’t included in the current flash manager. It was my interpretation that Matt had a new flash manager in the works, and it was supposed to include the ‘18s. I haven’t seen any progress updates on that.

 

2018 AT ECU / TCU I will email out, it's not in flash manager yet, will be available this week.

That sucks.... UPS rescheduled my delivery for Monday. Hopefully it still shows up on Friday though!

I've never been a fan of UPS. I've had better luck with FedEx.

Not likely in my case. There was no weather issues when I was expecting delivery.

 

Yeah the radar looks clear for everywhere but the north east.

 

While I'm enjoying 1.03 I can't help but wish Mat would give us even a little clue about the new announcement that's supposed to be better then the TT, exhaust or intake... and please be ca. Legal.
