Just emailed the dongle serial to @OVTune then once i get a reply time to flash this truck! Been waiting months to do this

Has anyone that received tracking on 3/5 and not had theirs update? Mine still says waiting on ups and it doesn’t have any updates, however it says delivery expected 3/8. Just find it strange it has not updated.

 

He sent out the first “batch” of pre orders. The next batch is sending out soon then it will have updated tracking

 

I'm having a tough time figuring out how to get the dongle serial number. I downloaded all the software and the interface shows up in the top box, but I keep getting the warning "USB dongle is not accessible (0). Please check if it is connected and restart application." Does that mean that I still need to register it? I received it today and thought we can skip that step. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

Did you update the drivers for the dongle?

As soon as I get paid Friday, I'm ordering this. I don't care how long it takes for the dongle to ship. It'll be well worth the wait

 

I am not sure. I downloaded all the software and installed it. Do we update the drivers in the Toyota flash manager?

 

Is it just me or is following Matt's instruction really that hard? I had zero issues following his steps to get the serial number and flashed. What is so hard with this?

yes! Toyotas flash manager is used to update the drivers

 

I haven't posted much lately ....iv'e been enjoying driving my truck too much . The other day I commented about the surge while in reverse . Today while backing up it did it while turning the steering wheel . It was nothing crazy , just now i know exactly when it might do it . Such a small price to pay for what the tune does for the truck .

 

I agree, but how technical are his instructions? It literally stated every step to do. I have just seen so many posts on how to do this, and its not hard. Just follow his instructions and make sure ALL anti virus crap is turned off. This was the biggest issue for me.

 

It doesnt tell you where to obtain pcm flash from. It doesnt tell you how to update drivers. Also it doesnt tell you to turn anti virus and windows defender off.

 

It does tell you where to DL PCM flash, there is a link for it to follow in the instruction no? Why do the drivers need to be updated?
