Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

I dont ‘recall’ anything about how to obtain pcm flash the instructions simply say “open pcm flash” and yes i had to update my drivers to continue.

Edit- that being said all those resources are in one spot but it can be confusing to those doing this for the first time! Patience is the game with this tune... still waiting on that email lol

Once you have downloaded these, go to your downloads folder (or where-ever your downloaded items are normally saved) and install each. NOTE, if you get the internet explorer error “file is infected” for flashing software, use this link: https://yadi.sk/d/vr2lgETc3GZW6b
once you have installed all of the above, you will need to register your dongle to activate the license to flash your truck.
To do so, first lets check if your dongle needs registered with guardant. To do so, run pCMFLASH software. Check the dongle status. if your software says USB dongle is not accessible (0). Please check if it is connected and restart application.

 

Ok i see the issue, it says if your dongle is already registered skip these steps. Then right under that it has the info the people need... since all the pre-orders were pre registered they skip those steps and never see the info they need. Thats why i never saw it when i originaly started

 

Some one should start buying cheap laptops, installing everything and then reselling them as ready to go tuning machines. They can also be tier 1 tacomaworld tuning support.

I've done ALL of that. My virus software was off from the beginning because I did do my research. And the dongle is plugged in. I even restarted the computer a few times. Still cannot get the serial number. I'm using windows 7 Home premium 64 bit.

 

Just to be sure your using the “dongle” right? The tiny small black usb looking device?

 

Is windows defender off as well? That is the one that gave me issue

 

I didn't receive that. I only received the OBD connector and a cable.

 

Thas the issue! Look inside the whole entire black box with a zipper it should be hidden in their. That black thing is the dongle

 

Yes, been off before I even started installing any software.

The video has the big dongle that no one gets any more. Someone make an updated video with your tiny dongle!
