I'm old school so can somebody tell me how much hp and low end torque along with better transmission performance I would gain with this tune? I have the OR auto. I don't care about mpg I want the hp and torque with better response.

0-2500, nada, too hard to safely tune, 2500-4500 big gains, up to 35lbft, 4500+ we've only seen a couple lbft without exhaust mods. Transmission looks to be fixed. Throttle response immediate. That's what I've seen in this thread thus far.

I have TRD cai already on ,planning to put TRD cat back on which I believe is 3" pipe and I just got the SSPro but have not installed yet so if I understand you right this tune is not going to help with low end torque and hp gains will only be in the higher rpm ranges.

This doesn't mean the tune doesn't add power to the very very low end. It just isn't safe on the dyno to run and test it. So tuning for higher power past that could give some low end gains but it's very hard to get reading safely down there. I guarantee you'll feel a gain down there.

You'll see a huge difference in shifting once you install the SSPro. It's literally a 5 min job or less. It doesn't create more power obviously but it does an amazing job with the shifting. Just like it was designed to do.

If this tune is even half as impressive as the SSPro, OVTune will make a fortune.

The tune will do what the shifter thing does, but it'll be built into the ECU. And it'll give the truck more power.

I don't mind the shifter thing, I just hate wires, even if you tuck it or whatever just seems like a lazy solution, though I understand it works for some. It's like walking around with colostomy bag

Thank you, I do understand that. But this guy already has the SSPro and it alone makes a huge improvement. Especially for those who don't want to spend in the neighborhood of $700. Personally, the SSPro is worth every penny and makes my truck more enjoyable to drive. I know we all can't wait for the reports of the tune.

You don't even see the wires. It's not a lazy solution. It's a something that works great for a very reasonable cost and 3 to 4 minutes of your own time to plug it in. I can see the dust easier on my floor mats than I can the wire. Unless of course you lie on your back in the drivers footwell with a flashlight and go looking for a wire up under the dash.

Well Hank Heel, when you are in that situation, you'll appreciate the hell out of a colonoscopy bag because the other option sucks. Man, I'm getting caught up in this mindless posting. I get fed up when some folks talk out their a$$ trying to be cute & clever. Any Feedback From Those That Have Their OvTune Kits Yet?
