    Normally, I'd agree. :amen:

Maybe it is too much trouble for someone trying to sell me something for $700 to put a link in their signature. Maybe, with all the other communication issues (changes in process, not answering questions, etc.) it that means something about how organized they are/are not from day to day. Maybe it doesn't. But if you tell me you are to busy to be organized, I'll tell you that you are too busy for my business.

Matt is obviously a very smart guy. Why he doesn't think it necessary to be organized from the start does concern me. He wants to avoid the same question over and over, but doesn't do anything to mitigate it. I understand he can't (or doesn't want) to stop and spec an app. All he really has to do is update the first post - something various vendors have done here. He could even cut/paste updated/procs that purchasers have posted.

I'll stop :deadhorse: unless someone responds directly.

BTW - I appreciate Matt working with the community to develop the tune. Really, I do. Great for all us. I appreciate that he can't fix a problem he can't recreate (tip in/surge). Been there, done that. But a simple statement such as, "If I can re-create it, I'll fix it or provide an option." would probably help. He really didn't respond at all for a bit. He has now, and is apparently actively trying to re-create. That is good - now.

He has alluded to doing tunes with a partner. He no longer does. What happens when someone so secretive gets in a vehicle accident or? No process, means none of us can help him very easily. Again, I want the Matt's tune. I believe in his ability. But there really is no reason that this situation has to exist. Check out other vendors here.

My apologies to all for further cluttering this thread, but at close to 700 pages it does seem to matter much. I'm only responding to those quoting me or addressing me.

And to Matt - GOOD WORK ON THE TUNE AND ALL THE BEST.

He will make changes as needed. Sure, it may take a little time, but has he NOT done anything he said he would?

that's probably the quirky torque converter stuff this truck does stock - and he has smoothed it out considerably. in retrospect I think we all have blamed the atkinson cycle for a lot of problems that aren't related to that.

Same thing. I completely uninstalled the dongle from the computer, uninstalled and deleted the drivers, downloaded and installed the drivers from that link, and put the dongle in the USB port. The drivers fail to load. At this point I'm thinking it's this netbook. Maybe I'll find a friend with a laptop and try that. Thanks for the help though!

    Sounds like torque converter lockup.

I believe it locks up for gas mileage.
At least in my Chevelle, I can feel it lockup and the rpms drop a bit in overdrive. (Without changing the gear)

Because with the factory tune it is the only solution to add power and accelerate, or do a downshift to 2nd lol.

Thanks for checking it out. I have stated before, this is not a 1.03 tune issue, have always had it stock and view it a minor quirk not a significant issue. I suspect it is more pronounced in colder temps at cold engine startup due to higher idle rpm combined with tight torque converter. I happen to notice at idle backing out of driveway - no throttle, truck moving at idle and will get rpm flare - and I suspect due to an accessory load (pump, alt, cmprsr, etc) triggering a throttle bump. Again, for me, not a big issue and its always been there. (((For me, if you can get the D to S mode to default to 5th rather than 4th would be a more appreciated tweak.)))

OV has been working with the people on this forum to iron out the kinks, anytime there is an issue that many people are experiencing he is quick to remedy it. The tune is pretty much set it and forget it as well, so once it's flashed, it's pretty much done.

To purchase, go to the orange virus tuning website. https://www.ovtuned.com/

I think you may have nailed it on that one - its the rolling in 1st thing that I occasionally experience and it's not always when cold. It did it stock as well but is just more pronounced with the tune when it happens. I back out of my garage in the mornings and the rear of my garage has a slight incline so I have to give it a touch of throttle then off the pedal and on the brake to coast down my driveway on a hill. Have experienced the surging a bit when turning right out of my neighborhood but then again it hasn't done it the last couple of days so... Running pretty damn good though man. I seriously cannot imagine driving this truck without the tune

No problems with tip in? What times size do you have? Also, do you have a lift?

I'm stock wrangler tires / OR wheels - the tip in was silghtly alarming within the first few drives after flashing but it has settled down considerably. Still think he's working on a softer version which I'll certainly try out but it's not as big of a deal as it could seem from these posts. Truck GOES, that's for sure.

I'm also stock and have the same truck as you. I did feel the tip in when I first flashed, now it's smoother, but I don't thin it's the ECU settling or whatever, I think it's my brain calibrating to 1.03 and telling my foot to take it easy on take off.

yep - I feel there is a bit of both going on though it could well be more related to ignition learning and idle stuff that indirectly affects the tip-in. it's still there in certain situations but most of it is learning I just need to touch the throttle to go. 30% gets me MOVING.
