Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

I'm not saying it doesn't work, it does within reason, just not something I'd want.
To be clear, at 175 it's a bargain

 

The @OVTune sucks?

 

OVTune was going to finish up the tunes last night and email them out. I have yet to receive a emailed map granted it is Independence day.....

If I were you I wouldn't post when you actually get it. Install it, go for a drive then write the report post. Otherwise I bet your inbox will fill up with questions within an few minutes.

 

Thanks for the update Ares32 & the correction DES2009. Got caught up in the junk. I know OvTune is swamped so I don't want to bug him & slow down the folks waiting for their updates.

I will make sure to give my best honest opinion. Keep in mind the map is only base tune i believe. Once I can get some data logs sent out to @OVTune with some fine tuning and some monitoring on my part i will make sure to report back.

 

Once I install my exhaust on and dynod then fine tuned then dynoed, I'll report back

 

Excellent. I will be monitoring data and making sure some of the important parameters, A/F ratio, timing, knock, EGT, so on and so forth are in safe ranges and not stressing the motor.

 

Like I said in the earlier post I'm going to get the TRD cat back but can not find out if it is the same diameter as the stock exhaust or 3". I will get the OV tune if it does improve the low end torque, shifting and increases hp in the low and mid range (25-30). I don't do alot of highway driving since I'm retired, but I do still like to get a little scratch in first gear when mall crawling or going to walmart.

 

Well this will be interesting, I just ordered the URD Spec U exhaust to go with my TRD CAI. When the tune is out of the Alpha stage I will be a customer hopefully still using 87 Octane.

 

I think the TRD exhaust connects to the stock y pipe. From the pictures I have seen the crossover y-pipe is very restrictive looking. The spec U will delete all of that plus the back cats. I think that is the best you can do and still pass smog most places. When someone figures out how to spoof the CEL with primary cats deleted then running the URD extractors with the URD spec U would be as good as it gets flow wise. My spec U gets here Monday. And should have the tune files later this week.

Received the files. @OVTune are you fucking crazy sending these out 4th of July night. Thanks for the dedication. I won't load these until Thursday at the earliest. Will not provide feed back on forum until next week.

Talk about a trd in the punch bowl! LOL you shouldn't told us you got the file. Now you'll be hounded to death. But looking forward to your report.

 

I could load them out here. Not worth the risk of breaking the ECU in BFE and walking out. Just letting everyone know that OVTune worked OT and got the shit out.
