close pcmflash, double check your task bar and make sure its loaded (dongle). I noticed that after I installed the drivers and then plugged in my dongle windows still did its normal routine of installing and looking for the drivers. After that completed I reopened pcm flash and was good to go.

Because the dongles are pre registered, just need to email the serial number to OV. I did that this morning and waiting on the activation code.

mine is mostly unchanged. My MFD reads low compared to calculated mpg since flashing.

Ok this might be my last review until the surprise comes out or I tow my trailer in the spring.
This tune is SO awesome. 87 was a huge improvement. 87 w/ ECT on the highway was super fun - roll on acceleration without a down shift to 4th and cruising at 80 mph in 6th at 2,000 rpms feels beautiful.

Halfway through my drive I filled up with Premium and flashed the 91 tune.

OMG! 91 tune is fabulous...91 tune with ECT is my dream Tacoma. SERIOUSLY.

Fill it up, flash, and get on the highway at 80. Come back here with your report. And gas mileage is better on the highway with ECT on - This truck continues to confuse me.

I think your right. @OVTune can we please see a ECT On vs. ECT Off dyno pleeeease?

I’m not sure about this entirely. I will agree that under 70mph mpg hasn’t changed much for me. I very rarely find it down shifting to 4th, so the feel is better, but the mpgs are comparable. However, above 70 mph has definitely improved - for me anyway.

It has made the truck so much more fun to drive. Today was the best drive ever and I’ve done it in our BMW M2.

Ps. I might have hit 60 in second gear today on accident.

Seriously if I have another kid, I’m naming her OVlivia! :D

I was one of the pre-orders, took just over two weeks. They were up front when I pre-ordered saying it would be about that long. I don't know if yours is a pre-order or if he has some in stock, so you might ask. His response in e-mails is slow, but it comes eventually.

I'd expect at least 2 weeks unless you hear otherwise from Matt

ps the dongle is no longer purple... it's a tiny black dongle now

Wow! Amazing pulls all the way to 70 effortlessly and you barely feel it shift. It used to get to 40, stop, and then explode to 60. Then putter to 70.

I got up to 70 and thought I was at 40. @OVTune best thing I have bought for the truck. Thanks!

Will post a review next week when I get more miles, cruise, ect, hills.

I best not be trying the 91 octane after reading all the posts above. Vancouver has the highest gas prices in North America right now; just ridiculous.

With my automatic transmission I easily get better mileage than before the tune. I drove with ECT on all the time before the tune and it would be at around 1500-2000 rpm at cruising speed. I now cruise at the same speed and it is around 1000-1100 rpm so my mileage is way better.

The instructions in the first post contain a link to download PCMFlash if you get this error.

I dont see that link...only for flash manager. If referring to the actual instructions that sends me to a link for 1.1.83. Guess no luck with the newer version =(

NOTE, if you get the internet explorer error “file is infected” for flashing software, use this link: https://yadi.sk/d/vr2lgETc3GZW6b
