Good to know. I would literally ONLY using Windows for this tune...and I mean ONLY. After that I will turn of VB and never use it until I flash again

I interpret that as Win7 should work, since it's higher than XP. I think I have an old laptop with XP at home. I've avoided Win10 like the plague.

Edit: Although it doesn't necessary mean Win7 in Virtualbox on OSX should work.

Received my license key and flashed the truck. It was an easy process and the revised instructions made it a piece of cake.

Only have approx. 40 miles on the 87 tune, but initial impression is that the truck is much more nimble now. Uses the available power on hills and headwinds and doesn't dance through the gears as much anymore. I'm on stock wheels/tires but have added weight with a Leer cap and some gear. Truck feels like driving a much lighter SUV, however, I think MPG's are going to go down with the added power coming from higher RPMs, but worth it if the truck doesn't feel bogged down all the time.

Only city driving in my hilly area so far. Will get some freeway time tomorrow. I will post a review on that thread once I get a couple hundred miles.

If MPG goes down its likely because you're driving more aggressive with more useable power available. My last three tanks since I have flashed 1.03 have averaged the as good or better MPG than I ever have gotten - 21/22/21 mixed driving.

This might be a silly question, but I’ll ask anyway.
Not that these mods would be recommended or even offered, but what other cool features are achievable via an ECU or TCU tune or possibly programming another computer unit in the truck? A lot of cool mods are achievable by cutting into harnesses and/or jumpering circuits. Are any of the achievable via less potentially destructive means (i.e. 2L only, rear locker in 2wd, ECT always on, etc)?

Edited to add: Gear selection instead of high gear limiting in S-mode.

    Thanks.

You could run a couple tanks of this and hit the targeted timing of the ECU

100 octane sounds fun. To bad its not practical for a daily driver . Boosting on E85 sounds better. E85 loves high compression but we would be filling up twice a week if not more

I think that's his main question... what all does the ECU control? for example, is it what determines that you can't have the locker in 4high or 2high? or is that a relay? does it dictate how high/low your climate control can be set? I know it controls how many flashes your "lane changing" blinker does (Carista let me change it from 3-7) and how long your dome lights stay on... so it might be surprising what all it can control.

7.99 gal. It’s at a few around here but I guess living close to Charlotte Speeway and Z Max drag strip has something to do with it

Anyone have suggestions on some settings for OBD Fusion? Just installed it. Would like to graph/log RPM, Acceleration, and vehicle speed. Any other suggestions to assist with monitoring the new tune?
