Holy crap.
100LL is only $3.50 in our area if you shop around and $4.00 generally if you don't. Lead is probably cheaper than whatever unleaded uses now.

But the real advantage is that it evaporates to nothing (but some blue dye). Of course destroys cats and fouls plugs, but oh well. Best lawnmower gas ever.

 

Sorry to be this guy, but how long does it take to get the license email? I sent the code today around 5. I am guessing it will be next week. I am just really excited and dont want to keep checking my email every minute haha.

Hi could use a hand ,

I have the mini USB dongle , having problems getting the dongle number , PMC flash Installed,

And I'm not able to get a number , I try opening PMC then plug-in the dongle and no luck

The serial number is printed on the dongle.

I sent my serial at 9:21AM got the key at 1:13PM same day

 

Did you install the drivers and turn off any anti virus including Defender?

There is no "they". @OVTune is a one man operation, and Mat is very busy with continued tune development/refinement and getting everyone's orders out and tech support in the form of questions, help, serial number emails, etc. Patience is required and will be worth it.

 

Anyone know if a backup copy of the @OVTune can be made and remade in the future incase the dongle or files are /is damaged or lost over the years to come ? I would not want to feel like it all needs to be treated like a flash drive for storing bitcoin etc. I get it that Mat is a one man company with an offshore LLC in the Territories of Hong Kong and all is legit . But he seems to have to be a seriously intelligent individual who may be bought out / boughton off ,or could move on to bigger and better things at any given time . This is my no beers self thinking of all outcomes since I plan to have my Tacoma for many years . I have been through many computer systems and times change . Who still has a 5 1/4 " floppy drive to read ....... or even a 3 1/2 floppy drive , VCR or mini cassette video recorder etc to use old data .

 

I put the instructions PDF, the 91 tune, the 87 tune, the stock tune PCMflash, flashmanager, and the dongle drivers on a usb stick that I put in with the flashing kit. I keep it in the glove box, this way It's always with the truck. I'm OCD about being prepared for the unlikely so god forbid something happens out on the road and I gotta flash to stock or something, I just need a laptop.

For a backup, I keep everything on an external drive as well. I'm sure you could save those same files to a cloud somewhere, or write them to a disk to keep in storage.

 

Yep... all my stuff is on a usb stick, Windows, and saved to Dropbox. No chances! Ha

 

Also, there is no backing up the dongle. It is your license. DO NOT LOSE IT!

 

I believe once everything is installed you can turn AV back on.

 

No, if you do, it will kill the pcmflash program once you try to use or move it. Gotta keep AV off until you are done tuning.

...At least that's what kept happening to me.

 

Can confirm that Windows Defender ignores the exception I made for the entire folder that I have for the tuning software and files and removes PCMFlash every time. So I leave it turned off now.
