You do realize that today is Sunday, and some people don't work weekends, right?

Some people have become entirely too used to the instant gratification aspect of modern day technology and society and dont know how to sit back and have a little patience.

Yep - my virtual box was fine for doing flashes but it was laggy and was taking up space I needed on my MacBook pro and TechStream didn't run well in VB so I just grabbed that purely for tuning purposes. Keep it in the truck with me at all times, etc.,

I'm sure it can feel like an eternity after watching the threads for months, waiting on shipping etc., when folks feel like they are "so close" but what cracks me up is when folks repeatedly chime in with "I'll buy it when... I'm waiting until...." then the minute they finally hit ORDER the sky is falling if a key or registration doesn't happen instantaneously :)

Because "jokes" are so obvious when written out with no context clues lol when people say stuff like that, I automatically assume they're backtracking what they initially said :D

Chill. Take it easy. You'll get your truck tuned soon enough and then you'll be having so much fun that you'll forget about the wait and will join the flood of people who preach that it's worth the wait haha

I said this a while back in a much more elaborate way, but I got it because of the shift points, power increase with better gear climb, and I hate the sluggishness in my morning commute of the stock tune. It definitely gets better mileage when you can get up to speed and the maintain speed with using barely any power. My truck weighs about 6k lbs with all the armor and gear, but feels way less with the tune. I raced an Audi the other night and was neck and neck with him. I shouldnt and don’t want to do that with my truck, but the temptation was too much because he was driving like a tool. I’ll bet that ponyboy was like wtf?! When his Audi couldn’t pull away at first. Had he not had cars in his lane down the line I’m sure he would have overtaken due to weight and gearing of his little pointless ride

I agree with the warm up and long idle. I let it idle 22 mins and haven’t had a glitch yet

I will say that if you drive the truck the way it was designed, aka partial throttle, taking it kinda slow, It is extremely smooth. the power delivery is smooth, shifting is smooth, etc. The only reason Im getting the tune is for the better shift points and more power at higher throttle inputs.

In stop and go traffic the stock tune without ECT on sucks because people cut you off because you can't close the huge gap you have in front of you quick enough. This in turn makes you smash the pedal just to stay consistent with traffic and then you end up hitting the breaks when everyone slows down again just as you are getting up to speed. This is...seriously shitty...can't believe Toyota didn't do more real-life testing, it's almost as if they did next to no testing. I have a design background with a BS degree in it and testing is EVERYTHING for meeting user needs.

So my truck still will randomly surge and rev up on is own. It's not so funny when it'll drive itself out of a parking lot. I also look really stupid that im revving a toyota in a parking lot.. ItsI still holding fourth gear for a couple miles when getting on the freeway. Even when I back out of it to the point I'm taking my foot off the accelerator. Any ideas? I posted about this a couple weeks ago and was pushed aside.

Toyota doesnt give a crap until they start loosing a noticable amount of money. If this wasnt the case theyd have a huge ecu/tcu update to make this truck behave “normally”.
