Wouldn't it make sense to have different versions for those running with smaller tires who would feel the throttle tip more sensitive?

Not sure why people always think it's either this or that, when you can have both lol.

Something like this is already available for the MT. We told Mat that 1.03B (equivalent to auto trans 1.03) was too much like a hair trigger and he provided us with a 1.03C version, with no differences in power, just less aggressive initial throttle response. People can choose either of them to run.

Now, people with bigger and heavier rubbers would like the more aggressive response. That's fine, but it also should be recognized that only so many different versions can realistically be expected to be produced for people. Every single person has a different perspective, a different reaction to changes in tunes vs how their truck feels or responds to them, and tailoring every single map to every single different request will likely result in tunes becoming more expensive, since those become far more custom/specifically tailored maps.

So, I hear you guys on requesting this and that, but I do hope that it's all done with some restraint in mind, because he's got a lot on his plate as it is, other projects in his timeline, and frankly, people purchased the tune with HIS specified goals and results in mind, rather than their own expectations based on their own specific mods, which obviously not everyone has/uses

Yeah I agree with this, so many people have a lot of mods in their vehicle which adds a lot of variables or issues to the tune, so it can't be expected that a version is released to cater to every single person, but a version for smaller tires and the regular one which is good for bigger tires wouldn't really take much development since only the throttle tip would have to be adjusted.

Can't please everyone so members, specially with a lot of mods that could change how ovtune is calibrated, have to understand that when putting in complaints.

Is the current map not better suited for smaller tires? I've been under the impression people have been asking for something more appropriate for larger tires, which would indicate that what's available is fine for tires similar to OEM sizes

Not to mention the 1.03C tune has already been worth the $$$ spent compared to the stock tune. One size may not fit all, but it sure beats the hell out of everyone wearing granny panties (stock tune)

Ppl have been reporting that the throtle tip is too sensitive on stock tires. Im running 33's and it's perfect.

Ah okay. So basically they're just requesting that Mat do for the AT guys what he provided for the MT

I'm currently running 265-70-17's and i wish tip in was more agressive, but that's my fault because my previous car was a G35 and i got used to how that drove.

BUT, this truck is a whole lot easier to drive and have fun with since the tune. No complaint's here, i knew was i getting a better tune than the stock truck came with.

87 Tune for over 500 miles with stock tires/wheels. I am fine with the current tip if we are counting.

Waiting for an update is much easier than waiting on the hardware after the purshase was made, that’s for sure!!

I wish Toyota made the Tacoma with a manual body automatic transmission. That would solve a lot of shifting problems
