    Following doesn't do anything.

The forum software allows that feature, but it isn't used. Just a heads up.

Very interested in seeing the results from a tune. I come from the sports/muscle car world (E46 M3/Grand National) and have seen how much a tune impacts the responsiveness and power of a vehicle. This holds true especially when it is tuned for certain aftermarket parts.

Tuning Tech by Frank Smith is a company that tunes all makes and models and has netted nice gains from a simple ECU tune. This company has a tune for the 5th Gen 4Runner, makes 20 HP more and 30 ft lbs of torque to the wheels over stock. Again more power will be made when matched with certain aftermarket parts. Also most of these tunes require the use of 93 octane gasoline which will allow for advance timing and adjustments to the fuel tables. I don't want to spend x amount of money on a tune only to leave power on the table because I want to run 87/91 octane. Shoot I would run E85 if the vehicle was flex fuel capable as there is more power in E85 over unleaded.

Anyways, I am very interested in this product and more than likely will be a buyer. Subscribed, awaiting results.

It's crazy to see all the programming that goes on to make these truck run. The old way was so much easier and I assumed these trucks used the old way but looks like I assumed wrong. Really looking forward to seeing how much of an improvement this makes and hopefully it doesn't end up being too expensive because I really want to do this tune sometime in the future.

I am happy with my Truck but I would like more low end torque off of idle. I have driven the 3.5L in other vehicles and they all feel stronger on the low end. Hopefully it doesn't take forever for this to be available.

The Shift Sense + a tune would make the truck bad-ass.. I would want a lot more low end from the tune. Ill wait and see how this pans out although i don't plan on doing a tune till the warranty is up

Going from an 06 with 285s and averaging 15-16 MPGs, I'm spoiled with this 20 MPGs. I'd take this tune if my MPG average went down to 15!

12 cents? Pretty sure it's 30 cents or more. At least over time?

Heh, all I want is more bottom end torque so that the truck acts more like a diesel in the 'crawls up anything just by going into first' sense.

Coming from a TDI was a big shock in that regards.

    Exactly.

And I'm sure they could also figure out and eliminate the bi-polar engine braking. Was out wheeling today and there it was again. Small thing, but very noticeable with the M/T.

I hear ya, but that won't work for M/T trucks when crawling in 4low 1st gear. I don't want to be fighting the truck to go slow.
