    I didn't say $40 lol
$688 is a lot more than that.

Somewhere in between would've been nice.

I was being facetious about the $40 decal part. Again, why are you commenting on the price when it's inline with all other ECU tunes for other cars/platforms?

If you're able to save $300 for an ECU tune (not a necessity as it's a mod), you're able to save $300 more and buy it. There's a difference between able to afford something and willing to pay for something. Stop being cheap, especially when this price is around the same as other ECU tunes.

I'm just guessing he's never done an ECU tune on any car or else he would have paid just as much or more (such as custom dyno tunes upwards of $1k or more)

not offended, just wonder why people waste their time in threads for things they're not interested in.

Ok, I'm a noob, but after reading numerous threads on this truck, I have, what may be a dumb question. Will this tune perceptibly improve the towing ability of the Tacos? I'm not asking if it will increase capacity (6400 lbs is plenty for the trailer I'm looking to pull) but if the torque increase will help with the ability to pull an approximately 4000 lb trailer over rough terrain (think unimproved roads, in the Rockies, etc...). I really, really want a Taco, but I plan on going backwoods quite a bit and if it can't pull my trailer, then it's a non-starter. Thanks in advance...

Tacoma will pull a trailer just fine, and this tune will improve that based on numbers and throttle response alone. A 3500 pound travel trailer will go just fine. You might feel it and your mileage will suffer but it's a V6...

Ok was able to finally write the tune file from @OVTune.
I have logged about 25 miles so far. The difference in power delivery is very noticeably especially from 3 to 6k.
The truck now goes and doesnt have that shitty lag feel when accelerating. I am very impressed thus far and cant wait to see the difference once the ecu adjusts to the tune and I get more time behind the seat. Once I can get some datalogs to Matt I feel assured he can safely get even more power from the motor. Great work from the OVTune team, im a happy customer!

    Thanks for the update!

Please report on rev match "ability" with this tune. Clutch in, quick shot on pedal = equally as quick response?

This is the thing that irks me the most about the stock setup (stab the skinny pedal and it takes it's time deciding if you need that power).

So far when i jab at the throttle the response is quick. Especially 3000rpm+. The power is there throughout the rpm band expecially when i drop gear.
