That's an assumption on my part, as some were complaining about the pics at the time and then mysteriously Dylon got thread banned.
I should seriously let it go, but it rubs me the wrong way. Lol every time someone tries to be a fun cop on here.

I was looking forward to getting this tune to help with towing, but after reading the last few pages of issues present with the tune, I'm afraid to now...

Are these issues with the bucking/jolting, no-power turning, etc. being addressed by OVTune?

No power turning? What posts have I been missing? And the odds of you having the same issues are rare since each truck reacts differently with the tune

Post # 15781 and 15782 both state issues with the truck falling on it's face while turning. True, but I've had all of the "common" issues with my truck so I wouldn't be surprised lol...

I've noticed the same thing and keep looking in my rear-view mirror to see if someone is back there. Glad it wasn't just me.

So, just to clarify, if we downloaded the 1.03 right after release, we need to do another download and re-flash our truck?

"No power turning" I'm pretty sure is a shift timing issue. With the stock tune, it happened to me all the time - slow down for a turn, and when I'd try to accelerate out of the turn, the truck would hold or even shift into a bigger gear and lug instead of downshifting and accelerating. This is much less of a problem with the tune, but it does still happen. The place where it happens most for me post-tune is a sharpish left hand curve on a fairly steep hill:
    1. Start out at 60ish mph.
    2. When the hill starts, don't brake, just let gravity slow the truck from 60 to 30ish for the upcoming curve.
    3. Apply a bit of throttle to (in theory) maintain speed through the curve. Transmission downshifts, but only to (I think) 4th, and I feel/see (via tach) the torque converter lock up almost immediately. Truck loses speed. Keep applying more throttle. Transmission holds its gear, and truck loses more speed. Eventually, it downshifts, but not until my foot is fairly far in, at which point it downshifts aggressively (into 2nd?), rpms go up into power band, and truck 'leaps' forward.
As I said, this behavior was nearly constant with the stock tune. Post-tune, the main place I notice it is on hills.

I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but none of my previous AT vehicles behaved like this - they'd smoothly, progressively downshift under gradually increasing demand with no loss of momentum or power and no sudden leap forward. Well, ok, the 79 Fairmont my mom had when I was a kid did something like this, though it also was so anemic that the downshift just made noise without any power. But still, I can't believe a 2017 Toyota shifts like a Ford from the Dark Days of Detroit era.

Wish I'd taken a longer test drive - never would have bought this truck if I had. At least this tune helps me make lemonade from the lemon.

The posts come across as very specific and a real issue, which in actual fact is simply people wanting to exchange possible fixes they'd like. This 'no power on turning' issue isn't an issue, it's simply a shift point pattern and the truck is too low in 2nd and doesn't change to first gear coming out of a slow slow corner. The problem is worse on the stock truck and isn't related to the tune. The tune makes it substantially better.

There really isn't any bucking or jolting, people are saying that 5th gear is too low and these people most likely have very large tires/extra weight... perfectly fine on my stock truck.

Don't let this put you off the tune, it's the best thing you'll ever do to this truck and it only gets better with Mat's skills.

I mentioned this turning issue some time back. Glad to know im not the only one and maybe we can get a fix. I don’t recall this happening to me stock as someone mentioned above. We should make an official list of issues/improvement needs? Im lacking the correct word lol.

    1. Falls on face when accelerating out of a corner.

What do you guys mean by "Fall flat on its face"? Like...the truck stops?

Have you looked into the drive sensor being covered in the frame protectant causing this "Fall on its face" issue? Supposedly there is a TSB for this...

Couldn't find a TSB in TIS for this??? Perhaps you can shed some light on this?

Well i can tell you it def gives you a feel of 1 or 2secs of nothing when you press the pedal coming out of a turn from time to time. The tune is great but still needs little improvements to make it right. Matt will get it right but needs this input from us to get it right so dont hold back if something flaky comes up def say something or else matt will assume all is good.
