For those that flashed the 1.04, did you also have to flash the TCU?

pretty sure if you've already put the TCU file from the 1.03 tune you're
good - no TCU for 1.04 from what I've read.

I think we're gonna need an instructional video on how to use the new features and how to send logs to you when the time comes

Thank you for mentioning this. Make sure you pick to show all files so it sees the .hex file when trying to write.

No need to flash the TCU as 1.04 is only for the ECU.

Loaded. 10 min idle. Initial drive seems really promising. No abrupt or harsh down shifts. Long 4th gear holds are gone.
Very smooth. Will post full review on Monday after my 300 mile drive.
    Thanks Matt.

Wish we didn't get dumped on with snow here in Nebraska! I was able to take a little test drive with 1.04, so far feels like a nice refinement to 1.03, shifts are smooth and seem to happen when they should. 50 degrees tomorrow, so the snow will be gone and can get a good test drive on the work commute. Looking forward to reviews of those who have dry streets!

5 mins in on a 20 min idle! WOOOOOT!

Is it recommended to drive without turning the vehicle off after the 20 min idle? Or does it matter??? I feel like I remember Matt saying something about so many miles or something.

On the new download do you have to reinstall any of the other software, or just open the new flash software and flash the new tune...what I mean to ask is...is it just that simple?

I'm very excited to get on the wagon now hearing all the good news from the update. Hopefully within the next couple weeks ovtune will be back for business so I can buy the tune.

Just put about 20 miles on 1.04 and it's a bit early for me to say much, but my initial response is that I'm really impressed.

1.03 was fine for me. The lug in 5th/6th in speeds below 55 when accelerating was my biggest gripe, but I figured it was hardware related. Also wish it would have gone into 4th earlier when trying to accelerate in 5th.

So far, the shift points are buttery smooth, it does what you expect it to do. The lug in OD (5th/6th) when accelerating seems to be fixed. I was worried about the tip in changes, as I really liked the tip in 1.03 brought (except for accelerating from a rolling stop... it was so violent). Power application is now incredibly smooth from a full and rolling stop, and it drives so smooth.

For someone who was content and not really thinking an update would do much, I can say that this update has refined this truck so much!

Yes, it's that simple. Just download and flash. Assuming you already have 1.03 so no need to flash tcu also.

    One more question,

If I was running the 1.03C 87 tune prior, the new 1.04 91 tune should be ok right, even though it is just flashing the ECU?

Yeah, go for it. I'd definitely recommend trying out the 91.
