Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

People with the new update. How well is the 6th gear holding at speeds greater than 55 mph? Is it holding 6th up moderate inclines at speeds > 55 mph?

 

Just flashed! Now idle learning and off for a 30 mile cruise. So looking forward to this update.

 

Got it, thanks. Idiling now. Trying the 91 tune for the first time.

 

Just downloaded 1.04 and flashed. Truck won’t start. Tries to start and then throws a “brake overide” error. Had 1.03 and was upgrading to 1.04. Anyone experience this and have any recommmendations for recovery? PCM flash won’t even get through the identifiacation step at this point.

 

I'd try flashing again if you can. You shouldn't need to identify first, so if it doesn't, flash anyway.

 

Restarted everything and now stuck in this spot.

 

This is important to note. The latest update is 04B03 correct? So if someone had the time then got a flash update from the dealer (not sure why one would do this) then they would need to reflash with the correct 04B.. syntax correct?

 

I would email mat asap and tell him it's a huge emergency

Better trickle charge that battery to stay at 12 volts lol...just playin

 

You installed all the other software packs and such prior to PCM I assume?

 

Nah, even my voltage jumps around during the write process. Still works fine

 

Yes. Was already running 1.03.

 

I would try to redownload everything you can and try to start fresh with the software

 

Redownloaded PCM Flash and still stuck.

 

Make sure windows defender and other anti-virus didn't kick back on. Be sure truck is not on accessory.

 

Reflashing now without the Identification step. Fingers crossed!

 

Load the file in pcmflash again (the three dots...) click write, let it flash again
