Are you sure you chose P5 can bus? Not gearbox?

If you did 1.03 last, good chance it’s still defaulting to gearbox.

    If that’s what you did..

Write the 1.03 gearbox file back to the gearbox. Then write 1.04 to the canbus

I can't tell much of a difference, tip in is significantly better but otherwise, not much evident. 3rd gear is still held too long, 2200rpm is 31mph which is too high for going down a 25 or 30mph road.

Flashed 1.04 91. Letting it idle now. I’ve got a 150 mile trip through the hill country west of Austin this afternoon that I’m really looking forward to!

I had the same issues, as I stopped my initial flash when I realized that the dropdown box still showed the TCU instead of the ECU. Truck wouldn't start, and identification showed failure. I re-flashed anyway, and everything was successful.

Yeah, it's not fun hearing your new truck turning over without starting and wondering if you've bricked something.

Just to ease your mind, Mat has mentioned there are many protections in and bricking your ecu is very unlikely.

Hey guys, been speaking with a couple people in PM today and want to share some info with you guys later today.

This is regarding throttle, 1.04 development, changes, etc. Also for the AT version "power" map that I have not released but spoke about when 1.03 was out.

Flashed 1.03 TCU to the Gearbox.
Flashed 1.04 to P5 Can Bus.

Let it idle for 20 minutes, put it back in the garage. :D

No issues flashing TCU or ECU. Went from 91 to 87 tune until I stop racking up all these miles.

    Will drive it later.

Got 50 miles in... still early but initial impressions are that it is definitely smoother off the line and while it does still want to go to 5th earlier than I’d have wanted it does NOT feel like it’s bogging at all and the downshifts are even smoother and snappier without any harshness. I also just got 22 MPGs on a dric I do several times a week that is generally 18mpgs. And I floored it a couple of times...

Not sure if it’s the crankshaft position sensor or 1.04 but...

...idling is basically SILENT and steady.

Haven't tried 1.04 yet, though it is flashed. I've noticed that in ECT mode I have to hit 55mph before it kicks into 5th. Imo, 45-50 should be where this kicks in. Well see how it goes in a bit.

Put on 50 miles this morning on 1.04/87 octane.
    Initial impressions:
The good: Much smoother tip-in. I can back out of my uphill driveway without lurching. Uphill, heavy throttle 4->3 downshifts happen sooner and more smoothly. Shift point for 3->4 upshift feels the same but is smoother. Falls-on-face-while-turning is completely gone.
Need to get used to: Need more pedal travel for steady 65mph on flat ground than 1.03 but not as much as stock. Probably due to smoothing the tip-in.
