After 1.04, hearing more chirping from the engine during idle and low speed. Wasn’t there on 1.03.

Seriously though, on 1.04/91 tune my engine is SO quiet. I'm no longer embarrassed at a drive-thru.

 

Is this a tsb or somthing? Can anyone take their truck in? :O

 

for 2-3 fill-ups put some (4-5oz) of Lucas Upper cylinder cleaner in your gas (before filling at the gas station) it should go away

 

I did get it fixed under warranty. Part was $1300!!!! and labor was $150
Fixed in 2 hrs all under warranty

 

Yeah, I ran a big bottle (the one that treats 20 gallons) of Techron fuel system cleaner through mine and that probably helped as well. But funny enough, if I were to run a couple tanks 87 on stock tune right now I could get my rear leafs replaced and my fuel pump but running 93 on 1.04/91 I get no chirps and so little rear diff whine I wouldn’t be able to get either replaced. Still have 10k on the basic warranty though so we shall see...

 

Posted an issue in the proper forum. Matt checks this thread all the time, and even said to post issues. He’s a big boy, you don’t need to be his white knight.

Yeah.. I’m gonna just end it. Seems like @Big geek hasn’t posted much positive stuff about the tune. Poor guy. Maybe he got a lemon instead of an orange.

 

I’ll take the olive branch, didn’t mean to be a bitch. The tune is awesome, way better than stock, but if people aren’t willing to post issues, it won’t improve. I don’t think Matt is the kind of guy to take criticism harshly. In fact, it’s probably the reason he’s done so much on this project. Some people accept a good challenge.

 

What if I never received tracking? Does that mean I'll receive tracking info by tonight? Order #2667.

 

Yes finally a TSB to replace chirping fuel pumps... 2 months ago mine was chirping still but no more. If it returns in the next 10k I’ll get it replaced under TSB for sure

Anyone ever has a computer issue mid flash? My laptop died loading 1.04 at about 40%.. grabbed the charger and came back a few minutes later and started from scratch, but then the ECU Identification check wouldn’t complete, only “failure” attempted to write the 1.04 and it says it flashed successfully, re flashed TCU again after and that was successful as well. Let idle for 15 minutes then turned on. After successful flash, checked ECU identification and it still says failure. Drive the truck after for about 10 miles and it drives fine but now I’m not sure if there is an underlying issue or if the tunes really loaded or not.. hmm @OVTune any ideas?

 

the ECU is fine, nothing to worry about that can happen.

this happened to me also,(like OVTune said), you shouldn't have any problems. though I went into full panic mode.

 

Alright I did it. I flashed 1.04 91 tonight and let it idle for 20 minutes. Restarted fine but was only able to do a little test drive in the neighborhood tonight. Felt smooth and definitely had to give it more throttle from a stop. I was hesitant because I really liked the feel of power and the throttle response of 1.03 though it was a little jerky sometimes. I’ll
Burn through a couple tanks and see how it feels.
