Question,

Why lift so high if you aren’t actually gaining any more clearance under the diffs than a 3” lift if all that extra metal is added underneath? You would have to have 40” tires to truly gain any additional clearance. I’m seriously not trying to dog on anyone, I’m a utility type of guy so this is why I don’t get this. Can someone clarify.

 

I bought a new Asus Windows10 Home edition PC just to use for OV-Tunes and Tech stream. i permanently disabled Windows Defender. Updated the Firmware and did the Windows updates.

Is there an easy fix for this? I tried updating the USB Drivers

 

Assuming you've installed the drivers ? If not maybe uninstall and reinstall the drivers, restart, etc., it should work

 

Solved: needed to email Matt the Guardant dongle info back and forth.

yea I uninstalled then reinstalled the drivers. that worked.

now I am at:

it still does not read the dongle.

 

That's where I'm at as well. You gotta email Matt and he'll send you a link to register the dongle with Guardant or some shit like that.

I hated the way my 2017 taco drove since I drove it off the lot in January. So I looked online and found this OVTune product. Initially it seemed a little sketchy, but after reading the raving reviews about both the product and the customer service I was sold. So on 3/31, I ordered the kit through the OrangeVirus website. I immediately got the automated confirmation email, and started tracking this thread every day.

I saw that the dongles were held at customs. Well, that sucks, but clearly he has no control over that, so I figured I was fine to wait it out. Shit happens, after all.
I saw he express ordered a shipment of dongles. A great choice, I thought, since he has a pressing supply issue and it would be good if he could his pending orders out the door.
I saw he said he shipped them all last weekend. I waited for a shipment tracking # of some kind, but didn't get any. I messaged him on TacomaWorld, and started to get worried until I saw others have the same problem.
I saw he said that there was some sort of bug and that the shipment tracking #s would be coming in soon. I got excited and waited for it, but I still never got one.
I saw he said to contact him if we still hadn't received the tracking number. 2 days ago, I emailed him at the first email address I could find (after 5-10 minutes of searching tacomaworld), orangevirus101@gmail.com. I didn't know for sure if this was the right email, but it seemed good enough.
I didn't get a response. That's fine, I figured, he's clearly a busy man. But then I start seeing posts on this thread of people who have "finally" gotten their kit, or are actively tracking their packages.
Yesterday, after still receiving no message, I felt that the email address was suspect. So I tried to contact them through the OrangeVirus website. For those who don't know, basically a quick chat box comes up that you enter in a message to; I'm assuming it just forwards it in email form. I sent the same message I had sent previously.
Today I still haven't received a package in the mail or any response with a tracking number. On one hand, maybe he doesn't check email every day, or respond every day. I'm an understanding person. But, at this point I feel rather frustrated -- I've tried to contact him through 3 separate channels for just the shipping tracking number, and have had no response, and meanwhile, I'm seeing him post actively on this thread, apparently actively emailing other people, as of last night and this morning.

So, before I dispute the $800 charge on my credit card (clearly asking for a refund seems pointless if all my communiques are ignored), I figured I should do my due diligence and post on this thread where the relative accountability of a public forum may force a reply. So, for the last time:

You may need a splitter. Sometimes reading the single doesn’t work via certain ports for some reason. This happened to me

Yeah it sounds crazy. I know you're also working on the actual products too, especially for the MT guys. I just wanted to know I was heard . Good luck getting everything straightened out!

 

I can honestly say it is a little frustrating, but hang in there dude! Yes, Mat is definitely way too busy at the moment. I waited about 3 weeks after i placed my order to even get any kind of notifications, but i knew it was going to be a while.

At the end, once you've tuned your truck you'll be 100% satisfied and all this will just be water under the bridge.

It's the brah look. Lift 6 inches then install a drop-down bracket that nets 0 in actual clearence, and often nets worse flex and clearence.

Welcome to the forum. Don’t be discouraged. Mat is a very busy man. The tune, however, is well worth the wait. Huge difference from stock. Be patient my man.
