I am having the same issue with the clunk! Did not have it with 1.03 87. Running 1.04 91 for about 300 miles. It really does bother me alot. I am thinking of going back to 1.03 91.

The TCU file was flashed with 1.03. I did not flash TCU with 1.04. And I agree its unlikely u-joints since it happened immediately after 1.04 flash. Depending on what Mat suggest, I might reflash TCU and 1.04 91 this weekend. I do enjoy everything else on 1.04, but the clunk is annoying, can't be good for the transmission / torque converter.

Well at least I am not the only clunking unicorn out there lol. I can't go back to 1.03. Absolutely love the throttle tip in and smooth up-shift on 1.04, just need to smooth out the downshift while stopping.

For what its worth, I am on 04B03 ECU, stock tires, wheels, suspension, TRD Pro.

How would you tune for the supercharger?

It's not uncommon for a company selling a supercharger OR turbo kit to provide a base map to go along with it. Expected even, because it's a rather major mod and tuning is necessary to account for such a change. Further tuning could be completed remotely (email, datalogging, like what is planned for OV's forthcoming custom tunes for us) or on a dyno

Have you gotten your serial key from Mat?

Per the instructions, unless I am reading wrong, the PCMflash generates the Dongle Serial Number that you email to Mat. Then he emails back the liscense key.

Guys, a little help here, the PCM flash would not identify the dongle thus I can not send it to OVT to get the code. I installed according to the direction twice after removing all programs and still was not able to identify the dongle. The port is also active, no issues there. Any ideas.....?

Im enjoying all the benefits of the tune, but every time I try to merge into medium traffic, I seem to go back and forth between 4th and 5th. It's quite a jerky ride for any passengers. Also, not a huge fan of having to downshift from 5th to 4th any time I need to move in 35 - 40 mph range.

I used the SSP for over 1000 miles and really enjoyed staying out of the high gears until reaching a certain speed.

I'm one of the few people not wanting to squeeze every ounce of gas out an engine with mediocre gas mileage. I'd rather be in an optimal gear for performance. Anyone else out there like me?

For those trying to get a flash kit from Mat I will be putting mine up for sale within the next couple of days.
Toyota finally pushed me over the edge when my rear diff started leaking for a 2nd time along with a few other issues I was having. Frankly I was also just tired of dancing with the dealer, So I cut my losses and traded the truck in. I’ll probably still be around as other people in the family have 3rd gen taco’s. I’m not sour or anything and I thank OVTune for the great work he’s put in as I probably would have gotten rid of the truck a long time ago.
