Sorry to hear about your issues .. what did you go with a 2500?

 

I did not, I went with a 1500. Would have loved a 2500 but just isn’t practical for what I use the truck for. I do miss my 2016 Duramax though.

 

I know, I truly feel as if my hand was forced. I probably could’ve dealt with it but I’d rather focus my attention elsewhere in life like my family.

I received my tune today and trying like hell to get around defender to
Download pcmflash. I have all my firewalls turned off. I’m I missing something? Help

 

So did you buy this tune for MPGs only?

 

Just turn off windows defender.

 

Open defender and u have to uncheck “real time scanning”

 

I turned it off and my computer caught on fire. Wth kind of scam is this

Don't blam you at all .
But what are you contemplating ?
Frontier,Canyon .i will be looking at Cayon diesel but haven't been checking reviews lately .
As far as dealers are concerned don't think you will find any better as the corporate mantality has trickled its way down to every individual (money first,morals second)

Does it actually make a "clunk" noise? Or is it more of a feeling that someone is pushing you from the back when braking, and the transmission downshifts?

I have the same exact truck and setup as you (stock wheels/tires/suspension/TRD Pro) and mine has always done this when slowing to a stop.

When braking moderately to come to a stop, I think its the "auto blipping" that's a bit too aggressive. So its like the computer is trying to rev match to the next gear when downshifting from 3-2 and 2-1, but its opening the throttle a little too much. This is giving the feeling of lurching forward while on the brakes. For me, it is still there on 1.04, but its much less pronounced than the previous versions and stock tune. It is still really annoying though.

 

Put some miles on 1.04 this week. Downshift clunk is driving me insane. Just did a 500 mile road trip and the 4-5-6th shifting dance is still a HUGE problem, gas mileage still not good, but maybe slightly better. I pretty much have to floor the car to pass somebody on the highway. Gutless piece of crap. I am still feeling like 1.03 is better. Matt, please find us a happy medium! And help us with the downshift clunk!

I am seeing 4.88 gears and a supercharger in my future. Or a Ford Raptor haha.This tuning stuff just can’t fix the real issues.

 

So here’s where I’m stuck at. Has anyone one had this issue. Matt already sent me the info that was missing on the last batch. Apparently after this is done I can get my serial number to send him.

Is there a newer flash manager out that was NOT released with 1.04? If so can someone post link...a lot of pages here

 

Not sure if you read my whole post. I bought the tune for performance only. MPGs are not a concern for me, I would have bought a more fuel efficient vehicle if I wanted that.
