I get all the idle for 10 minutes deal, but honestly I just let the truck idle for a few minutes until it isn't dead cold and just drive it. Haven't had an issue yet.

I hear what you are saying, but this happens when the engine is nice and toasty after an hour commute. It’s actually smoother when it’s warming up. Any other suggestions?

Yeah I mean the guy who wrote the maps and almost completely fixed our trucks said let it idle for 10 minutes.. your idea is way better.

I wasn't telling anyone what to do. I know what Matt said, and I choose not to do that, just sharing my opinion. I'm pretty sure he said it doesn't matter either way, but brain function will return more quickly if you do let it idle.

Thanks for finding that. Again I get the self cleaning feature and even think it’s damn cool, although it’s definitely loud, but I’m talking about a rough idle at stop lights while waiting for the light to change. I’m sure that if I go to Toyota with this issue they’ll say it’s “normal” or they couldn’t replicate it cause they just drove it around the block one time. I was checking to see if anyone else had this rough idle issue.

Once I flash mine for the first time, I am never shutting it off, imagine all that learning it will do. Sort of like being a perpetual college student.
It should eventually obtain a Masters degree in shifting smoothness.

My truck has 4:88 gears. I did the 1.4 91oct OV Tunes . My truck Idles super quiet now and i can hear theres more timing and the low end is leaned out. It can peel out until TC turns on.,and chirps my 255-85-16 tires between 1st and second WOT. It Runs so much smoother and crisper. How did Toyota mess this factory tune up so bad? I used to tune Hondata and I can tell there is significant improvement with this code.

Ok so I bought this. And I go to install the Flash Manager and the downloan bar just sits at 0% and doesnt move. I disabled the Mcafe antivirus thing, the internet is strong and I tested it by watching a youtube video without buffering. Any suggestions? Im going to let it sit while I sleep and hope it does something by morning.

Yeah looks like its turned off. You got me there. Not sure why it's not downloading. If your ecu is 04B03 I can email you the file if you want.

Im not even sure what that means lol. I made the mistake of paying someone on the forum to help me install since I did not have a laptop or the know how to do it. Now I am on my own, trying to learn how to do it myself so I can get the new flash. How do I know if my ecu is 04B03 ?

Well you got a little ways to go then before you download the tune file. You need to identify your ecu first in pcm flash as there are a few different versions and the tune files are unique to each version. So you need to make sure to download the right version. But first you need to identify to figure that out.

Did you replace your CKP (crankshaft sensor on your 16?). Rough idle could be related to that...

Should idle pretty damn buttery smooth with the tune.
