Ok, so I redownloaded 1.04 with the new flash manager and I see the files are .bin now instead of .hex. Are these the same files? I flashed .hex when it first dropped, do I need to relflash it with the .bin?

they are the same, I fixed the issue with the hex/bin so that the flash software will automatically recognize them

Ok, I’m actually flashing back to 1.03. For whatever reason even without the clunk I get when downshifting from 2-1, 1.04 feels not as fun as 1.03 so I’m going to go back for a while. I keep wondering if 1.04 even flashed. Haha

I remeber being excited after I flashed 1.03, and with 1.04 I started scratching my about gears again.

Does this mean a separate tune would have to be purchased for the 4runner or will anything cross over when/if available?

Different engine, different ECU processor, different tables, different everything, so yes separate product completely.

Maybe y'all can help me out. I know Matt is a busy guy. I'm tying to run the grdtru.exe file to get a final answer to send to him to get a license key.

I resume the grd session, opened the text file that he sent me (update_***). When I click "next" I get "error invalid dump size. Check it, or contract developer"...
pcmflash still shows a blank interface and won't recognize usb stick.
I'm not computer illiterate by any means but this sure makes me feel like I don't know much.

Mines better too, but it’s problably because the gas stations have stopped serving the winter blend.

That much I knew. Sounds like I'll have a kit for sale. What are the 4runner plans? This tune totally changed the Tacoma into a new beast.

I’d still drive the 4runner over 1.03/04 Tacoma.

This is my driveway and I’d rather do the black one.

I plan to build a tune and transmission tune for the 4Runner, and tune for the magnuson supercharger for it as well. So far nobody has sent me a ECU ID, info, picture of a ecu or really anything. when you get your 4Runner if you send me this info I can get started and give you development stuff for free

Well preliminary comparison I'd say the Tacoma with 1.04 felt more peppy. But, I only have 23 miles on the 4runner.

I’d like to get some throttle response back out of 5th and 6th. Truck seems to fall on its face as soon as it shifts to 5th.

Ill be sending my truck your way ASAP once that supercharger comes out. Because idk what magnuson plans to do with the ecu/tcu

Edit- realised you were talkin about the 4runner. But im sure you will still tune the SC for the taco :p

I'd be interested once I break this thing in. Use the same software to pull the ECU ID as the tacoma?

I’ve been on 104 91 octane for over 800 miles. Auto truck. The truck has developed a dead spot on full throttle acceleration. Along with 2 to 1 downshift clunk on deceleration and also on transition from decel to accel it has a very irregular, hard to predict, harsh downshift.

    Is @OVTune dataloger ready yet?

I really like the added power on the low end and top end on the 91 tune vs. the 87.
