thanks everyone, send in the registrations, will send out registry keys around 5-7 hours from now when our developer is online. Opposite time zones around the world

 

Any idea on how long after that we can get the tune files?

 

I just received this email from Matt as were still trying to get my purple dongle authenticated. I have tried his instructions in the quoted paragraph below and sent him a follow-up email as I’m not able to find the registration key he’s looking for and also I do not know where to get the PCM flash files. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would like to provide Matt with this information also.

“run grdtru, make sure it is on resume session

click browse and select this file, it should generate an answer key. Then exit the software

run pcmflash and send us the dongle serial number”

 

did you run the GRDTRU program you need to start with that before pcmflash or any files. the one that created the first code for the dongle? I am available for the next 2 hours lets get it solved

 

For dongleless, can I identify my ECU before I receive the registry file, or is identification dependent on the registry file?

 

you need the OBDII cable to plug into the truck to get the ID

 

I think he was asking if we can identify the ecu without the registry files so we can go ahead and send that info to you as well while we’re waiting on the registry. File.

 

I think that's a yes.. I received the OBDII cable and I sent the email with my system id code. Just not sure if I need to wait before connecting to the truck to determine ecu

Is that a typo on pg 5 of the institution pdf?

Last word on page “ PCMFLASH”
Should that be : p5flash.exe
Or : Toyota_Flash_Manger_V1.09R.EXE

(I don't see any files in update folder)

 

And this is why "sport mode" on automatics is garbage (most). The transmission still only shifts when the computer tells it to. Like drive by wire, user input is only a suggestion.

Ok I’m trying to figure out what I did wrong.. in the flash manager my “interface” drop down box is blank. The only thing it shows is my system ID# below. Is it suppose to be like this?

but you do get a SYS ID #, and email that in to Matt
