Thank you...I am fairly computer literate and have followed the directions step by step and here I sit? I turned off every piece of conceivable anti virus real time and background monitoring and windows firewall. Registry key seems to have installed correctly but it still will not identify my ECU? Guess I'll read through some of the dongle install problems and see if I can figure this out

 

Did you install the Openport drivers for the ODBII cable and select the interface in the dropdown menu? Mine was whited out by default and I had to select it the first time I loaded Toyflash up

Yes...I installed the drivers. The interface does show up and the system ID shows up in the lower box. After installing the reg file my name showed up next to my system ID.

Garage is pretty hot - luckily I’ve crammed my case full of ugly brown fans and neon tubes, so I can copy/paste an ECU ID into a web browser with complete confidence.

 

I know this isn't much help but I was able to get the ECU info with no issues. FTR, I am on a Windows 7 64 bit SP1 laptop with no AV installed, Windows defender disabled and Windows firewall disabled.

 

Ok, this may be plain silly to ask, but (experience speaking here)... did you turn the truck on?

 

FTS. Mine says I drive a Camary! Just kidding, I'm watching this all play out from the sidelines. Not ready to spend the $ and not receive the entire working package. There has to be a better way. Maybe a two-part billing. One when you order the hardware, and one when you register the loaded tune. That would put some relief to the waiting game.

 

I can't remember a time in my life when I cared so much about another man's sleep schedule. I know Mat was up past 1:30 am...

Dang it, I have no life anymore. I feel a physical need to apply this tune file to my truck. What is wrong with me?

 

I'm a little worried about the whole "you can only register one computer for all eternity" deal. I work in IT and go through computers like candy.

 

Then just slave the hard drive to whatever computer your running...
