A quick question: I went to Pismo few weeks ago and noticed that while I was trying to run up the dune in a second gear and towards the end of the dune I wanted to shift down to first gear to maintain momentum because engine wasn't pushing as hard, but it wouldn't let me shift down to first gear and it beeped and stayed in second gear till truck came to full stop. I am assuming this is safety feature so that engine wouldn't rev too high and cause break down. Is there any way to turn this off? Thanks!

Clearly, it won't let you downshift if the rpm would be too high; but, odd that it would come to a full stop in second. The wheels were still churning when you stopped? Maybe if there is too much wheel spin a shift could be harmful??? Doubtful there is a way to change it or that it would be safe to do so.

 

Just a simple question without having to read through nearly 20,000 posts: Can the tune be run on regular 87 octane gas or do you have to run the 91 octane?

Will this tune allow me to run 35's without rubbing?

No with the 1.04 91 tune you can fit 37s and go under 3ft of water.

And for Manual Transmissions you get a 2nd reverse gear with over drive. With Auto trans you get a 3rd over drive gear...

 

1 - already do
2 - working on it
3 - if it rubs, I cut parts out
4 - intake no, stickers add +5 hp

correct?
