I did my first oil change after the “free” services and I’m not sure what they did but they had the oil canister cranked on so tight it was ridiculous. I’m pretty sure they stuck an impact in the removable drain cap and just went to town. It was ridiculous. I’m impressed nothing broke

I don’t have a scanner or carista but I do have a version of Techstream that I pulled off the Techstream thread on this site if that’d help. The only issue is that I can’t get it to launch. I got the registration code but then it wants me to log in which is info that I don’t have. Any thoughts? I did email the new TCU file to Mat this morning.

All you really need to do is hit identify and post up the calibration ID that pops up in the lower portion of the Toyflash or PCMFlash tool. Just curious if indeed it is the new one.

Were you able to notice any specific changes from the original stock tune you had?

Ovtune@ just emailed my system id, will you have time to send me my license today? It's my day off and I am chomping at the bit to tune my truck!

The only thing that I noticed was that it held 5th gear longer when accelerating from 6th gear and didn’t jump directly to 4th gear so quickly. Still shifting from 4th to 6th like 5th gear wasn’t there. As of today, I was/am running the stock ECU still which is horrible. Waiting for the go ahead from Mat to reinstall 1.04.

I’ll check my laptop later today and see if this new stock TCU file is actually different from the stock file I had when I was running 1.02 and flashed to 1.03.

yeah I'm getting up to like 5-6,000miles on 1.04 now and I've only run the stock tune once in the last nearly year, just to remind myself how miserable it was. I feel for you. and everyone else who is still running the stock tune, many of which don't even seem to realize how much better life could be with a slightly lighter wallet

Sent mine in at 8.30 this morning, what's worse than that is i paid for it almost a month ago. I was working vacation relief 12 to 14 hours a day and Mat recommended that I install the new exhaust system before I flashed it. So today is the first time I have had a chance to fool with it.
Can't wait to get it installed, just picked up my hypertech speedometer recalibration flash. Told wifey that it was part of the ovtune. Didn't wanna tell her i spent another 230 bucks on my truck!

Oh man. It’s so worth every penny spent. Dollars too! Just remember to embrace how crappy your truck drives now and try not to get many tickets once you install 1.04. :burnrubber::burnrubber::burnrubber:

Can I get an :amen:? :amen::amen::amen:
