Getting ripped off never crossed my mind and I am not even worried about it. I know based on all I've read that it will be worth the wait, wanted the waiting to be over today. I am 100% confident that I will be tuned on my next available time to do the install next week
Acceptance is the answer to all my problems today! Serenity at this point is more important than grinding an axe. Not a thing wrong with my truck the way it is. The anticipated improvement of OVTune was upon me. It'll be here soon enough!
Thanks for putting up with me!

I'll donate my truck for a 2jz turbo swap. Where do I need to send it?

On second thought, I'll donate mine and buy a second one to also swap. I'm gonna need a spare for when I break the first one.

A simple way to dispel the idea of the new TSB being anti - OV.
If that were the case Toyota would of locked out the ecus content dump procedure. They didn't

Anyone else seen the ‘headers’ on these trucks! Never bothered to look until today. Crazy. All the cylinders dump into one port then bam catalytic converter. Wonder if the turbos will spool faster at low rpm

This whining and complaining has no place here. Why are you bitching and moaning to a forum instead of talking to the guy who is supposed to be providing you a product for the money you paid? No one here, other than Mat, can help you. So email him and stop posting about YOUR problem that you can't do anything until Thurs or Fri. If it was really important then you would be checking your email multiple times a day and communicating with Mat appropriately. Now can we get to more pertinent stuff like, turbos, superchargers, camshafts, and random other BS?

Okay, guys, thrown 04B04 in my autocal tool for check vs 04B03.

What exactly was toyotas "update" for? The Torque converter. There is a massive amount of changes, much more than just Torque converter locking. (had to cut off offset addresses sorry).
Due to the amount of changes we are looking at 7-10 Days for 04B04 support. I've got to parse through 100+ changes

Throttle changes, Valve timing changes, ignition changes, tons of lock up procedure changes, shift table, torque.

Toyota threw everything into this one

Yes it is a real winner. When I bought mine my first thought was headers, exhaust, cold air intake and then possible gears. Then I found out what we had. No wonder I could not find a set of headers. Toyota forced the tune and that is great. Thank God for people like OVTune. But why in the world did they make the engine so damn impossible to beef up. They obviously didn't want anyone wrenching on them to improve performance. I am old school and was raised on the theory of "make it breathe and then put a big-ass gear behind it". That is how we made power. Hell we could put a gear in a 1970 Ford LTD and make it fast. Welcome to the world of high tech engines.

Everyone is going to benefit from this big time.

I will port over these to the 2018s too, which don't get this massive lock up update

Is there a reason the ‘18s didn’t get the update? As an ‘18 owner, I was a little surprised to find out mine wasn’t included.

I wish I knew. Whats makes less sense is only certain VINs are claimed to have the issue but the ecu version is on 90 percent of the trucks out there.

So do those specific VINs have a hardware problem? That was addressed with this update?

Regardless Toyota updated so many other things on top of the torque converter and lock up sequence. Which everyone can benefit from
