Did you get an upgrade sticker put on the inside of your hood? If so can you post a real high quality photo of it?

Smart move! The truck is very doggish with the update. Sooooooo can’t wait for the compatible 1.04 and then 1.05 to bless mah truck.

Is this an OVTune thread or a 04B04 thread? I've been getting them confused lately...:bored:

Is Matt working on making 1.04 work with 0B0400? Or will 1.05 be the only option after getting the TSB. Still can’t decide if I want to get this done today at my service appointment.

Looks like 1.04 will be on 04b04 this weekend.

Edit: I got techstream installed and working last night on my flashing laptop and the CUW files are in this thread. I plan to update to 04b04 and then update to 04's 1.04 when it drops this weekend

So This 1.04 that will be available this weekend is the same 1.04 I have already flashed before this TSB update?

It's a revised version of 1.04 because it will include all TSB updates

But will it make the truck feel any different than the current 1.04 Without the TSB update?

Will I get any benefits from having Toyota perform this TSB today? Haha

Will I loose all access to 1.03 tune forever?

Also still wondering if I “HAVE” to go to the dealer and get this TSB to implement 1.05 when it drops. Or will 1.05 work without the TSB.

I’m was about to order and I thought when I looked at your site previously there was a choice for 2017 auto and auto with crawl?

It's all the same kit, it created confusion with 2018 crawl control owners so I just simplified it

Yeah, I'm partly to blame for this for sure but posted my experiences up here specifically b/c I know that as folks get the TSB update they are gonna start asking how the tune now compares to the much improved Toyota calibration. Spoiler alert: OVTune is still a far better driving experience overall!

    What he said ^^^

Me too, cause I was one of the first ones to get Toyota’s new and improved update which made it impossible to revert back to 1.04.

I didn't see an option on your site to purchase just the software if you have purchased the cable from Tactrix.

I feel like this thread is missing something....
Oh ya, it's been 3 whole days since Chipi3s has mentioned that he is waiting for the turbo kit to drop
@OVTune I kinda have the same question. Will the new 1.04 release be an enhanced version of 1.04 combining the new settings of the TSB (shifting, torque converter, etc) plus the added power of the tune or is it just the same 1.04 settings as before, just adding the compatibility of the new 04B04 coding to get the ecu to accept the old 1.04 tune?
I was figuring that 1.05 was gonna be combining the TSB updates and the tune together plus other enhancements you are adding.

    Bone stock for now.
Still can’t believe how much better fuel mileage is. 63 miles an average on this trip on mostly flat northern Indiana highway. Running 104 91 tune with 93 octane. Before Ovtune I could not get over 19. Even when I hot rod this thing I can still get 19. Stock vehicle with stock tires. Also, truck sounds so much better on tune. Sometimes it’s hard to keep your foot out of it!
