I have an interesting issue that I was hoping someone could help with
    https://youtu.be/CbT8tteikxA
My truck sounds like crickets. I don't think its causing any performance issues but it sounds terrible. Replaced the pulley on the tensioner and didn't help.

Sounds like it could be either a bearing in a pulley or the belt. Try flipping the belt?

edit: ps. there's also the idler pulleys for the main engine belt as well. I'd pull the belts and check em.

What he said. ^^^ Pull the belt, and look for wobbly or noisy pulleys.

    Little closer to my install.

Finishing up a small fabrication project that turned into a big project, then supercharger time…92ACCB25-A044-490E-BEF1-53EC2AE2A38F.jpg

Actually after looking at that closer are the bearings moving inside of the pulley? Did the C-clip break or something?

    Interesting observation..

The ProCharger kit's come with the MAF in a location that puts very turbulent airflow across the MAF.

*Blue plot is the MAF signal*

They also taper the pipe from 3" to 2.5" for the FMIC, then back up to 3" before the maf tube. One could assume that some efficiency is lost over those 3 pressure conversions, but also definitely contributing to the turbulent air the the MAF is seeing.

Performance MRP sells maf housings with and without straighteners, I can't really think of any good reason you wouldn't want one in there. https://performancemrp.com/

I called and asked why they use a 2.5” intercooler, they really didn’t have a great answer.

What is the outlet of the Procharger? If it is 2.5", then one could either add a silicone reducer of 2.5-3" to the outlet of the intercooler, or weld a 3" outlet onto it. Then change the tubing size accordingly.

    Looked through theirs.

I like these a little more than the Treadstoneperformance.com MAF tubes. These are worthy for clamp in, and have a nice set of machined races for silicone couplers. The Treadstone ones leave more for the adaption of the build.

Very interesting, and much easier to tune around, post straightener.

It's 3" outlet, I think they did it for clearance reasons since those pipes run right next to the headlights and through the rad support.

So I got my the pulley swapped out and the bearing seems like its completely loose inside the pulley housing, not sure what the cause would be but on well, no more awful sound

Yea I think your pulley failed not the bearing. Kind of odd but whatever if they took care of it?

The Procharger maf pipe is 3"

Screen only? Would be easy to stuff this in there and rivet it.

Gadget at URD had an extra intercooler sitting around and is sending it out to me for my install.

It’s a pretty cool design. 3” in and out and has provisions built in to mount the horns and hood latch which keeps it tucked up high and out of the way. I’ll just have to figure out the plumbing adjustments.
