Tacoma Quick Reference Guide

Here’s something I created to assist me in quickly getting / remembering some of the more frequent things we do to our trucks. I’m posting not only to share and possibly help someone else but also to get some things from all of you that I could add to my laminated copy I keep in the truck, lol. I know- nerdy, but I embrace it.

Please note- my oil filter and oil capacity are different because I installed the Baxter spin-on filter relocation kit.

The transfer case calls for a mono-grade 75W oil.

You should make this an editable document on Google Sheets so we can customize it to our needs before we those of us who want to, print it off.

It's not by much, but the listed oil capacity is a bit high:



Just don't want anyone overfilling their engine. Six quarts seems to be spot on for me.

 

Yeah I just add 6 myself. Works out to be just about perfect at the end.

 

I noted in the initial post that I have installed the Baxter filter relocation kit for the reason MY oil capacity is about 1 quart more. Also, this explains why you won’t find a washer part number, socket size for a drain plug nor a torque value for a plug.

Is your document an Excel document? You should be able to just upload it to Google Drive then open it with Google Sheets. From there you can share it via a link.

 

No. I created it in Word. I’ll figure it out and post tonight. I will also replace my engine oil information with the OEM info that includes crush washer part number, oil capacity, drain plug socket size and its torque value.
