Tacoma sales numbers still high

I also priced them out and A loaded Ranger Lariat Tremor is just about $6,000 cheaper than a TRD Pro Tacoma in Canada. Not to mention you likely can get a decent discount on a Ford where a Pro you'd be lucky not to pay markup. Maybe you're in USA and pricing is different there, but in Canada Tacoma is definitely more expensive, by a lot.

Tacoma TRD Pro MSRP before tax in Canada is just under 60 grand.

The value with the Ranger is that you can add the Tremor package to any Ranger. So you can get a $32k base model FX4, add the Tremor parts a la cart and have a truck as, if not better off road than a TRD Pro for $10k less. No leather, no tech stuff, no a lot of stuff. But not a bad deal if you dont want that stuff.

 

Same here in the US, at least in Tennessee.
My sister drove off a Memphis lot this week with a Tremor almost 4K under sticker.
She couldn't find a TRD Tacoma in the vicinity at any price, had just got back from deployment and needed a truck.
The Ford dealer was flush with Tremors and ready to move them..

It really isn't a bad looking truck once they get it all dolled up.

 

Those crazy high bed sides really throws off the proportions but that's not too bad looking.

Unlike the Tacoma, the Ranger is a tough truck to look at in base trim.

 

It is hard on the eyes. Not very pleasing. I could not live with looking at it. Poor design imo, terrible.

 

Who the heck designed those fender flares ? Terrible. I thought ridgeliners sucked.
Overall not a head turner that's for sure.
Only thing making it look good are the aggressive tires.

I was thinking the rsi and rld caps fit a ranger better than a Tacoma... the ranger has a big ass

 

There is a good reason for that sir. One is a FORD the other TOYOTA See the difference No reason to say anymore

You aren’t kidding. I was in Roseville today to get the fuel pump recall done. Only 2 tacomas on the lot and both had a 10K markup. Sr and sr5. Crazy prices. 50k for an SR LOL!!!!!!!!!

 

I guess reliability isn’t worth a little more money.
