ya has an AAL. not enough lift. so go get a spring from a junkyard off a old chevy?

can i continue to stack a few more leafs? longer ubolts needed and pin necessary obviously.

 

Sure you can, just keep your total overall lift below 4" & you should'nt have any issues...

 

hmmm... alright so its fathomable to keep the pack. thats good news. my only concern is am I wasting my own time revamping this one, too see it fail within a year or two?

 

Well not neccessarily, its subjective, do you haul heavy & often ? or offroad aggressively ? I've seen many new,name brand springs go flat within a year, mine could too but this would be from heavy /hard use or misuse alot of it is the driver, a local member Greg (gregero) is LT & launches his truck regularily , his are almost 4 years old & still look great, so....

That looks like a stout pack.

 

It is. It just does not flex much. I am hoping removing the bottom leaf will add more flex or should I just remove the overload?

 

I wouldn't say I fit into either category.
So my main objective is to be around 3" higher than stock and be able to flex tell panties drop. would adding two leafs and removing the overload work?

 

Take out the 3rd leaf down & it'll help alot..

With your AAL you may only need 1 leaf , & it's personal choice but I'm no fan of the overload if not towing heavy & often

 

wont notice much difference with the overload gone then, i don't do towing. XD

So, it looks like chevy flatbeds are common donors. find a chevy, take a leaf, remove overload, insert donor leaf, rebolt and be merry?

Doesn't have to be a flatbed, just about any early model Chevy truck will do..

 

Doug, sounds great. After a little research I have found a great post, you should add it to the FP.
Looks like 88-2010 is accurate for year ranges?
