sorry I don't have a camera to post pics I could try to take some in the morning with my phone when the sun is out. not sure how to post pics but I will try to figure it out. they look fine. watched a friend install them and everything went smoothed. just when we put it back down you could see right away something was wrong.

Wouldn't that be something if the installer put them in below the axle?!

Why would you do this as opposed to just picking up some donor springs and doing the mod covered by this thread? I guess I could see this is you had the extra overloads laying around... A full set of donor springs is only going to be about $100 tops at a pull it yard.

That's just it, I have a pair of overloads that i got for free (old Dodge maybe?). They are about 3/4" thick and that's what I'm looking to get 3/4"-1" higher in rear.

Damn. Is that only 3 leafs total with no overload?

i could put the overload one in but how much would i gain from that? I'm 3/4" lower than the stock ones i took out.

You'll get the thickness of the overload (approx 3/4"). Maybe you could put some of the old leafs in that pack (or an aal). But sucks if you paid for a set that was supposed to raise it 1.5-2"

Gotcha. Yeah. I don't see why not. I'll defer to others if they have greater knowledge on it. May need long u-bolts. Definitely longer center pin.

Is that shackle flipped? That would do it. I can't tell as I am not experienced enough.

Yes the overload leaf since it provides no arc would give you just the thickness of the leaf in height, working just like a block. If you consider the contact point between the overload and the rest of the pack, it essentially is a block.

Yeah I have some new pins i picked up at advanced auto. My U-bolts have about 3" of extra threads so i should be good to go if i go that route.
One question, how you do you guys remove the metal wraps thats on the leafs? I know they can be bent open and closed but what If you had to remove one, like if your donor leaf had one on it but you didnt need it. They look like their riveted in the leaf itself or something. I'm guessing maybe drill it out or grind the head off.
