I think using a 2015 pack is probably going to be the same as the recall springs

Hey guys I have a question about a 1st gen spring rebuild I did about three years ago using OMD methodology.

I used two 94 chevy 2500 leaves as donors and kept my main toyota spring as well as the one just below it with the curled up tip at the front. Fast forward three years and the rebuilt pack is still holding an arch quite well, with a bit of sag in the front of the toyota leafs where they extend past the chevy ones.

My question is: if I remove the lower toyota leaf and replace with a chevy leaf of the same length, will I have to bend the tip of it around the eyelet of the above toyota leaf? Is there a safety function of this bent tip? The resulting leaf combination would be from top to bottom: Toyota, Chevy, Chevy, Chevy. Or is it preferable to maintain two toyota leafs on 1st gen packs? Thoughts?

I realize this was likely mentioned earlier in this thread but 146 pages is a lot to sort through. (This picture isn't of my truck BTW)

    Thanks!

If they're the same width just cut them to fit

The same shit everyone else has.
    Question.

I currently have OEM 3 leaf springs on my truck with a wheelers 3 leaf HD add a leaf. The OEM springs have 75k miles on them and the add a leaf has about 15k miles on it. With the 3" lift in the front, the truck sits level. Surprisingly, the spring pack doesnt show the typical flattening/de-arching Tacoma springs are known for.

Recently, a pair of brand new 4 leaf TSB leaf springs popped up for sale on Craigslist for 100$. Question is, are the TSB springs worth the 100$ price? My truck is too old to have the TSB done by the dealership, which I would have liked to have had done.

I was looking to lift the rear of the truck about 1" and many have suggested swapping out the 3 leaf spring for a set of the 4 leaf TSB springs.

So, do I keep hunting the local junkyards for a pair of springs to build a custom spring pack out of (probably spend anywhere between 25$-75$ on used parts) or pull the trigger on the TSB springs and add my Wheelers 3 leaf add a leaf to them?

    Cheers.
