I took the rear end of my pickup apart 4 times before I got it to where it sits now.... Good luck!

Got the version 2.0 springs installed today. I went ahead and dog eared the ends. Same exact ride height as the first set but feels plusher.
Went with: Toy main leaf> Ford 46"> Ford 34"> Ford 26" . Center hub to fender is 24"

Yes there are still gaps although not a large. I am not too worried though. When I take it apart again to paint I will add friction pads and tapper the ends a little to relieve stress. I looked at my work truck (2010 F-150) and there are gaps in it's springs also.

    Taco springs 2.0:

@4WD where did you go, I need guidance.
May need new leafs.. Any thoughts on what happened here? That's a set of Toyota 3+1 (new frame springs) with the 3rd leaf swapped for a Chevy leaf and the wheelers 3 leaf aal. Don't mind the brake job.

Looks like a high stress point where the front main leaf of your AAL contacts the Chevy leaf. maybe when your springs went negative during compression caused it to bend. I believe that is why you don't want more than 4 inches between leaf ends. I would get rid of the AAL and add two Chevy leafs. Keep the factory overload if you tow heavy often.

Looking at the picture again I can't tell if they are permanently bent or that way because you are flexing them up. Can you provide a picture of them resting level?

I'm pretty sure I'm done playing with custom. I can't get any benefit out of it with the OME BP51s anyways.. I got a line on some decent used Dakars I'm gonna throw on.

If I'm seeing that right, it's bent right where the end of your overload is. What were you hauling?

Or how high did you jump?

Lol no jumping, don't haul anything more than some firewood for camp and friends furniture when they move.

Has it been like that for a while? Or was it a recent thing?

I'm actually kind of impressed. I would have thought the springs would snap if there was that kind of force on them.

No shame in having the money to buy quality springs.

@ectrd Doug. Dear, dear Doug. Should I say welcome back? Or maybe not since I was the one who banned you after you scammed some of our members out of their hard earned money and then disappeared for years. Do you have any explanation for why you think its OK to steal from our members? I doubt you can offer them their money back after such a long time but you could at least offer up an explanation and maybe an apology. Take your time. We're waiting...I mean its been what? 4 years? What's a few more days?
