    Doug,

I was prowling around the internet today and came accross an article you and others might be interested in. It mentions a couple of products that might be useful "graphite paint" and "Eaton spring liner"

    http://www.bsfab.net/?p=65

I will have to continue searching for a good bikini waxing product though.

Thats an interesting read ya found there Rick, teflon sheets over leafs, it'd probably be good for wet climates, but I don't agree with statement that a plasma cutter will ruin springs tho'..

& keep up the search for the bikini wax tho'....:D:D

Doug, you are correct about the plasma cutter. As long as metal is not cooled rapidly after cutting/heating (water dipped or sprayed) and allowed to cool gradually, the temper does not change.

The spray used on the underside of lawn mower decks to prevent grass build up is a similar spray to the graphite paint, but with similar properties. Mimimizing squeaks.

I wonder how it would work for bikini waxing.

Yeah , I had quotes of up to $3300 for a full rebuild, i liked ta shit my pants, but come to find out this is not too far off from being ballpark price !! back to the junk yard for me dude....

On another note me & another member went to Down South Motorsports today & picked up some extended 5125's (extended length is 26.5 from center eye to eye IIRC, forget the collapsed length but no matter they will do very nicely, excellent dampening....

oh yeah and did you get the 255/70 damped ? they are the performance valved rather than that softer comfort valving! Either way im sure they will be nice man./ cant wait to put my appropriate bushings in there and get some damn shocks allready!

    00taco00 (Reagan) got somewhere between 3.5"-3.75" inches,:eek::eek::eek:

didn't expect that much so the extra length def. wont go to waste, on the truck he has roughly 5"-6" of travel (poss. a little more) so he should be good to go, but I'll keep an eye on it , actually think I'll ride with him on his 1st maiden hard romp, & see if any issues arise, although I dont anticipate any, but we'll see...

Ya know I didnt get the valving specs but I trust Sonny & Marco at
Down South Motorsports , they are fairly stiff but thats all good in my book, we put them on & I weigh about 215lbs & I jumped hard on his bumper quite a few times & got one down stroke, one upstroke for every jump....perfect rebound , so far so good...;)

Sweet most likely got the stiffer valving which should really match up since the springs have more boing to em. Well i drilled out my bushings, put my rear shocks on and added a lil bit to bumpstops and WOWOWOWOW. very nice ride overall. the 5125s handle the rebuilt pack really well! the billies up front handle the omess 881 i put on and it rides like a million bucks! I got bout 2 in front and 3 + in back. the truck looks tough as hell with the lifted rake. Im stoked and might even bump the front up a bit later. but seeing my cvs right now look great i just dont know yet. Note: the 5125s actually picked my rear up bout a 1/4 inch!!!!!!!!!! they are super charged.

Yeah are those your new ext lengthers? !!!!! Rock those bald tires !!!
I love my new set up. But i think i may relocate shock mounts to really get all i can out of my shocks. Did you add bumpstops or nmodify? mine are 15 collapsed and i felt it was a bit too close. But if yours are 26 ext they must be 16 or so collapsed right? any details?

I know huh.....:D. shit i still see some tread, maybe its just shadows, its easy, just hit the bottom about 60 , close eyes & hang on...:eek::D

Oh no, these are my current 5125's, 00taco00 (Reagan) got those extended 5125's yesterday, but I'll probably get the same ones & a little relocation is not a bad idea, I've been thinking about it for a while now except I'm planning on changing shock angle & location with the addition of running 4 in back instead of 2

Dbl the shocks, you Dbl the dampening
