why stop at 2" ? Most my spring builds are for the 3" + crowd...:D

But i can build to pretty much whatever lift you want, & no need for Guinea pigs now, me & a few others have been beating the hell out of these rebuilts for over a year now....;)

Hi Reagan...... not much, getting ready to send a spring kit back east to another member

You've got the TSB, dump the overload . Add one Chevy spring per side & you'll get right at 2" of lift

Hey Doug, picked up these leaf packs last weekend. They're off a 1988 Chevy S-10 w/ a 1500 lb. towing pkg.. I stayed late at work yesterday to cut them down and painted them when I got home. I found my parts from Toytec on my doorstep. Won't be long now.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Ya know its funny, those lil s-10 springs dont look any thicker but i used to have one and it was extremely different than my taco rear end. Loading capacity and especially ride. they were very truck like as in empty bed bounced all over but a bit of weight and viola!. I'm curious as to why though. i guess it could be that the s-10 was design so that they were barely compressed or barely " de-arced" in normal static ride height and the taco was designed to sit almost flat wich (as we all know) means saggy no load capacity and junk ride very quickly. Guess if it is not the design its just that they were made better "metalergy" for a truck that might wanna throw something in the back.
Either way, they seem like a great leaf to use as donors for lift or capacity to our tacomas. I think the way i went, which was even thicker by 2-3 mil, also chevy(who knows maybe the mfg chevy uses bulids leafs properly), worked very well for my wanting to be able to load the crap out of it without riding bumpstops, wheel and flex and of course ride nicely over bumps and wash.. Anyhow I think the s-10,dodge dakota, F-150, are some of the best choices i found available in the jy in my leaf re-build.! Oh and of course the pre 95 toy pu but finding one of those that has anything left on it is near impossible!.
For you frank, I think they will prove a great find With all that camp gear ya got in the bed! Should hold ya up more than the aal and handle those l;oads better too.!
