ya 1 minute scratched out, I like to put as much into Solidworks as possible, this way I have it stored for the future.

 

Where in RI are you? Do you have any more leafs?

Yes sir I have the remaining 8 + the 2 overloads from the 3/4 ton. I don't plan on using them. They have off center, center holes like a first gen but they all can be cut down as needed.

If your interested in them let me know and we can meet up sometime.

i will be jumping into this mod here in a few days for my 01 taco im looking to get a little extra straingth and height out of if just befor i drive accrosst country towing a honda civic and who knows what else and i dont feel like being bottomed out for the hole 2,300 mile trip if you know what i mean, i havent gotten any of the matterials yet but if you got um pm me and we can work something out

 

I have been wanting to pull the trigger on this mod for months. I found these leafs on Craigslist. They are from a 98 Silverado. I know it has been suggested to use the leafs of earlier models. Is there any reason why I should not use these? Im looking to get 3" out of it and get rid of my 2" blocks.

im currently at stock height all around im planing to end up with about 3-4 inches in the back "thinking about adding 2 springs on each side" is there a good parts list so i have every thing i need before i get started. will i have to replace my stock struts for longer travel, or worry about drive line vibrations. or how about brackets to hold the springs together. could i get a pm to break this down barnie style. or a phone call for that matter. your assistance would be greatly appreciated. ill be driving across country towing a civic and some other junk and would like to be out of the neg ark before hand

 

Ok this is what you'll need in no particular order: Ext. brake line, ext. shocks, Ubolts (especially in rust belt) new axle centerpins, maybe a BPV relocation bracket (if applicable) & have 2 -3/4" spacers for carrier bearing drop if vibration occurs after lift..

Theres absolutely no reason NOT to use them if their the same width (or real close anyway)
